Chapter 1: The First mate and The Sniper

Seven years after the destruction of Dawn Island

Three years and seven months before r the war starts (AN: It's so confusing how much time passes between East Blue and Marinford, so I will say it's six months of travel more or less, at least on this fic)

Sabaody Archipelago

Luffy POV

"Come back here, Demon child!" Luffy heard someone scream. He turn around only to watch with anger as a black hair girl, probably a year older than him, was been chased by marines. Focusing his conqueror's haki, he unleashed a blast of it towards the marines, making almost all of them past out except for the captain, who was on his knees, sweating. The black hair girl stop running when it happened

"You know, I really hate when marines are pieces of shit" Luffy said very angry as he took out Kitetsu II (AN: I know the sword is technically in Wano but in this universe it was given to him as a gift from Shanks and yes, Luffy is train to use swords as well)

"Your Red Hair D Luffy!" Said the capitan sweating "bounty of forty five million berris!"

"Too bad you will not remember any of this to tell to your boss" said Luffy as he hit him with the back of his sword in the head, knocking him out. He then put his sword away and turn to see the girl "are you okay?"

"I am okay" said the girl "thanks for saving me"

"No problem" said Luffy "what's your name?"

"Nico Robin" she answered. For some reason she closed her eyes as she was afraid Luffy would do something to her. Luffy hug her, making her stiffened

"I have also been hunted down. Since I was seven" Luffy said "for been the son of a criminal. I will never do something to you. Instead, I will protect you from them. Join my crew and swear I will protect you, even if it means death". Robin hug him back, as she cried on his shoulder "come on, I have to get back to my dad's ship. He will take me to East Blue, where we will begin our adventures"

"Okay" said Robin, tears in her eyes. Luffy took Robin to his dad's ship. His dad raised an eyebrow at seeing Robin but smiled wickedly, which make Luffy nervous, knowing his dad was about to do something that will embarrassed him

"So, you got yourself a girlfriend?" His dad ask him. Luffy could feel his cheeks turn a crimson red "just don't make me a grandpa. I am still too young". Luffy could feel his whole face just turn red, at a Hinata level and when he look at Robin to try to explain to her, she was also scarlet red. To add salt to the injury, the whole crew burst into laughter

"Dad, you will pay for this" mumbled Luffy. That got the whole crew laugh even harder. He then smiled evilly and his father gulped as he look at him "I did hear rumors that a certain red hair emperor was flirting with his ex vice-capitan's wife". The whole crew spit their drinks instantly, as they burst out laughing as his dad turn red in embarrassment and then turn paled instantly

"Wait, Shikky is Rayleigh's wife???!!" Shanks said with a panic voice as he started to sweat

"You didn't know?" Luffy said,  bursting out laughing "dad, you are a dead man"

"Men!. We are getting the hell out of here!!!" Said Shanks in a panic. Much to his father's embarrassment and Luffy's amusement, his father's crew burst out laughing. Luffy then felt as someone grabbed his hand and when he look to see who grabbed, he saw it was Robin, smiling with tears in her eyes.

"Who is the criminal?" Robin ask him. Luffy smiled at her sadly as he hug so he can whisper his secret in her ear

"Monkey D Dragonite" Luffy said, making her eyes widened "that magma dog of the marines murder everyone on my island, expect for me and my two brothers. We escaped thanks to my dad. They already started his careers a month ago. One has his crew and the other has join the revolutionaries"
