Chapter 5: Annoying smoke man

Loguetown

Smoker POV

"Sir, we have sighted the Straw Hats pirates ship!" Said a marine " and we just received reports that a slaver ship attack them. The slavers enter in battle with the pirates but the they were whipe out by the pirates and the slaves were freed as retaliation for the provocation on the slavers part". Smoker facepalm at that but the pirates still attack a slaver ship, that was authorized by the World Government

"Well, that's not good" Smoker just said annoyed

"Why not?" Tashigi asked confused "they defend themselves. I may not like pirates but slavers are much worst"

"Doesn't matter" Smoker said shaking his head "slavers have permission from the World Government to function. We have to stop them here. Is there a bounty?"

"There is a bounty for the Captain, it was Seventy million berris, sir" said the marine. Smoker froze at that, his eyes widening in horror. Wait, did he say was? "but with this, it's one hundred million". A hundred million!!. This guy has to be stop!. He is far to dangerous!

"Sir, I do not think is a good idea to go after this Straw Hat Luffy" said Tashigi "he is the son of a Yonko, we will be pissing him off"

"He is a pirate and a criminal" said Smoker "I won't let him pass Longtown"

A few hours later

Luffy POV

"We need to be fast" said Luffy "after our little battle against the slavers, my bounty has probably go up and you don't have one yet. Pudding, you stay on the ship with Coby and Rika, the marine Captain in here is too loyal and he will probably trying to arrest all slaves that escape that ship. Coby, please protect both ladies"

"Yes, Captain" said Coby. Luffy smiled. The boy has changed a lot. From the coward who use to shake and sometimes pissed his pants, he now is confident and will fight without hesitation.

"Good thing you call Buggy to pick them up" said Nami "and who would have thought that Alvida was with him"

"Or that she really is beautiful now" said Coby blushing. Luffy and Nami burst out laughing at that "guess when she declared loyalty to you after you beat her, is a good thing"

"Now I have two commanders in my Fleet" said Luffy "now, for my plan to work, we need to have everything. So, Sanji, go get food supplies, Zoro go buy new swords, Nami, go buy what I told you and anything else you need for your map making, Ussop go buy bullets and anything else you need, Kaya, buy any medical supplies we could need. After you finish, meet me where the king of the pirates was executed"

"Why?" Sanji asked confused

"Because I will climb that platform and declare my dream in there" Luffy said smiling. That would attract the attention of people that could join my fleet later and in the process pissed off the marines and possibly the World Government as well"

"You know that marine Captain will come out for you, right?" Sanji said with seriousness "I heard rumors that he is  strong"

"I know" said Luffy "but we are pirates and marines will come after us, wherever I do that or not"

"That's true" said Nami "just be careful"

"Don't worry" said Luffy "I am not going to caught by a loser marine Captain". Before Zoro left, he asked him to buy a sword for Coby, as a reward for his transformation into a great pirate. Zoro nodded, promising to buy something great

Two hours later

Luffy had a hood hiding his face. He could feel the marines in the area with his observation haki. He already saw that annoying marine Captain, Smoker, from a distance and for what he heard, he thinks he is untouchable because he is a logia. He look to the execution platform and smiled. Time to make a show, so he jumped to the platform and then look at the gathering crowd looking at him with confusion

"You!" Said then a police officer "get down from there right now!"

"No" Luffy said, angering the officer more "why would I do that?". He wanted to pissed off the marines

"That's property of the World Government!" He screech. That was the last thing he said as a Alvida hit him with her Mace

"Thanks" said Luffy at his second commander

"No problem, Captain" said Alvida

"Listen all of you!" Luffy screamed "I am going to be the King of the Pirates!!!!!". For some reason, as somebody wanted to help him be dramatic, a thunder was heard behind him

"That was impressive, Capitan" said Buggy "now, you better go or that Smoker loser will try to caught you"

"Like he could" said Luffy as he jumped down "now, I want you to see if you can find any candidates for commanders in my fleet. Just don't get caught"

"We will" said Buggy "I told my men to watch over your ship but be careful"

"Let's go" said Luffy to his crew watching in the shadows "time to go to the Grandline". As they were running, they were stop by a young woman in her earlier twenties and that was provoking Zoro "Don't take so long Zoro, we need to hurry"

"She isn't a worthy opponent right now "Zoro said "I will not take so long, don't worry". Luffy could see that multiple tick marks appear on the woman's face. Luffy just ignored and they continue their way to the Going Merry until they were stop by a man that was smoking two cigarettes. He nodded to the others, telling them to go. The rest of his crew just went ahead

"You aren't going anywhere Straw Hat!" He said "you have attack a slaver ship and you are under arrest!"

"So, let me get this straight" Luffy started a bit angry "I denied giving two of my crewmates to those despicable monsters, as they wanted to slaved them and you want to arrest me for defending my friends?". Luffy heard the civilians around Luffy mumbling about marines defending slavers and look angry at Smoker. The marine Captain ignored them and look furious towards Luffy but he just ignored him, making him more angry

"Shut up, pirate!" Said Smoker as he turn to smoke and went towards Luffy, trying to hit him with his sea stone weapon but Luffy block it with his katana, that he didn't even bother take out. Comparing to his dad, Smoker was nothing but childsplay. Luffy decided to play a bit with the marine Captain

"So, that's how you been defeating pirates" said Luffy with a bored tone. Of course, he already knew Smoker was a logia because of the rumors "but you logia types tent to be really cocky". Luffy then punch Smoker very hard on the face with armament haki, sending him flying and making him crash into multiple buildings "annoying smoke man. Come back when you are worthy of my time". Luffy then continue going to the Going Merry but he stop when he saw his mother, Monkey D Dragonite, standing and look at him with proudness

"The world is waiting for our answer" she said

"And soon they will get it" Luffy answered "good to see you again, mom. How is Sabo?"

"He is fine, my son" she answered "he is trying to gain Koala's heart but he doesn't have your ability that I heard off". Luffy's face turn scarlet at that. His mom was teasing him!. He had enough teasing at the hands of his father and his childish way of doing it! "So, King of the Pirates?. That's a difficult goal but I will support you in anything you need. Remember, you, Ace and Sabo have suffered enough and my father wasn't happy with what happened. He doesn't know the truth about Dawn Island, he was told there was an incidental Buster call"

"A Buster call that can shoot magma blasts?" Luffy ask incredulous "not even gramps is that stupid"

"Ohh, he suspects Sengoku didn't tell him the truth" said his mother "tell him when the time is right, will you?"

"I will, mom" Luffy said as a he saw the flash of a thunderbolt and with that, his mom was gone. He just continue towards his ship, trying not to laugh at what his mom told him. That Sabo suck at trying to gain Koala's heart. In the distance, he swore he heard Sabo cursed him. He quickly went to the ship and they went to reverse mountain, ready to go the Grandline.

AN: Marines are aware of slavers but do nothing as far as I know. A clear example is when they did nothing with the slave house and only want Luffy's head for punching the living daylights out of that Celestian pig.

AN2: Yes, Luffy knows his mom, Shanks call her and told her what happened. Just remember his mom is a femdragon, meaning Garp has a daughter not a son in this story
