Akira's POV

One day, I found myself in the bustling halls of the Hybe Building, navigating through the sea of people. It was already late evening and I had just one last meeting for the say.

As I turned a corner, I accidentally bumped into someone, and to my surprise, it was Jungkook. "Sorry, I didn't see you there," I muttered, slightly flustered.

"Noonaaa~~~!" Jungkook exclaimed, wrapping his arms around me in an unexpected hug. This caught both of us off guard.

I let him hug me, and he pulled away, a perplexed expression on his face. "Noonaaa, are you sick?" He asked, genuine concern in his eyes.

I was known for pushing him away whenever he attempted physical contact. But today I was so tired that I couldn't fight with him.

I patted his head, a tired smile on my face. "No, Jungkook. I'm just really tired, that's all." I admitted. "You sure...?" He eyes me skeptically.

"Haven't slept for four days now, skipped breakfast, lunch, and survived on five cupa of caffeine. I'm Ready to fight god or become him, you know, the usual."

Jungkook gently let me go, his concern deepening. "Noonaaa, that's not healthy. Are you okay?"

I nodded, walking away, and Jungkook followed me. "I'll be fine. Just need to get through this hectic day, I'm off tomorrow," I replied, my exhaustion evident in my voice.

Jungkook kept pace beside me. "Let me know if there's anything I can do," he offered sincerely. "You doing your work is what I need," I suggested, noting the concern in his eyes.

"Done for the day." Jungkook shook his head, a small smile playing on his lips. I raised an eyebrow, surprised.

"Really? Well, lucky you. Hey, want to come to a meeting with the department heads?" I asked, half expecting him to decline.

Jungkook looked genuinely surprised. "Me? In a meeting with department heads?" I shrugged, a big smile forming. "Why not?"

"Sure, why not? Lead the way!" He hesitated for a moment, then nodded enthusiastically.

And so, with a burst of unexpected energy, Jungkook followed me to the meeting with the department heads, our conversation filled with anticipation and curiosity.

As we entered the designated room, all eyes fell on us. I yawned, feeling the weight of exhaustion, and Jungkook looked around nervously.

I patted his back reassuringly.

"Late again, Akira," one of the department heads remarked with a disapproving tone.

"Who cares?! Start. I'm sure it's nothing groundbreaking," I brushed off the comment, taking a seat. I motioned for Jungkook to sit next to me, and he hesitantly complied.

"You're three minutes late." My secretary handed me the documents, groaning. "I know, Cheol-Han I know. Just let me survive this meeting," I whispered, and he rolled his eyes.

Jungkook looked at me with curiosity, and I leaned over to explain, "The Department heads love punctuality. I prefer functionality." He nods.

The meeting began, and as the department heads delved into their reports, I could sense Jungkook's discomfort.

I nudged him, whispering, "Relax. It's just bureaucracy in action."

He nodded, attempting to mask his nerves. Meanwhile, I stifled another yawn, earning disapproving glares from a few colleagues.

"You really should get some rest, Noona. Maybe, just sit this one out?" Jungkook leaned over, whispering his suggestion. I chuckled.

"What's the meeting about?" Jungkook asked, in a whispering tone.
