Akira's POV

Me and Jungkook sat side by side, both engrossed in our respective worlds—the CEO and the idol—watching the news unfold on the screen.

The headlines showcased the collapse of ten drug houses belonging to the notorious Jinsu Clan.

As I processed the information, a dry laugh escaped my lips, catching Jungkook's attention. "Noona..?" he inquired, a hint of confusion in his eyes.

I looked at him, my expression a mix of amusement and resignation, as I slurped my coffee. "Well, things just got complicated."

"Complicated how?" Jungkook frowned, trying to make sense of my reaction.  I leaned back, crossing my legs, and motioned towards the news report.

"Those drug houses, they happen to be business partners with Ayeon Family in the underworld. The same Ayeon Family of with yours truly, the Golden Maknae's favorite CEO."

"So, it's your problem now?" Jungkook's eyes widened as the implications sank in.

I nodded, a wry smile playing on her lips. "Indeed. The underworld is on fire, and we're right in the middle of it."

"How will you handle this?" Jungkook sighed. I didn't reply and continued watching the news. "Go, on, I thought you've got work today..." I said and Jungkook picks his bag.

"I'll see you tonight, Noonaa..." He kissed my cheeks and went away. I was enjoying a day off, planning to spend it catching up on some much-needed rest.

Time Skip~~~~

As I was peacefully, enjoying a rare moment of tranquility, the door was abruptly thrown open, jolting me awake. My eyes narrowed, and I shot a fierce glare at the intruder.

"What the hell, Taesang? Can't a person get some beauty sleep around here?" I grumbled, my voice still laced with the remnants of sleep.

Taesang, unfazed by my less-than-welcoming reception, sauntered in with a smirk, taking a seat next to me on the bed.

"Well, Ms. Ayeon, please get your lazy ass up. We still need to get you that CEO of the Year award!" I scowled at him, feeling the weight of the disrupted rest settle on my shoulders.

"CEO of the Year can wait, my sleep can't." I mumbled, pulling the covers tighter around me, determined to resume my peaceful slumber.

Taesang chuckled, clearly amused by my resistance. "Come on, Akira, you can't hide under the covers forever. There's an award ceremony waiting for its star."

I shot him another glare, my annoyance evident. "You know, 'Employee of the Month' should go to whoever lets me sleep peacefully. Now, go away."

I emphasized my point by burying my head deeper into the pillow, signaling my intention to ignore any further attempts to rouse me.

Taesang laughed heartily. "Alright, alright, I'll give you a few more minutes of beauty sleep. But after that, you're getting your ass off the bed."

"Hmm...." I mumbled a half-hearted reply, already drifting back to sleep, hoping for a few more precious moments of undisturbed rest.

Taesang shook his head with an amused smile, leaving me to my slumber, knowing that waking  determined me from her beauty sleep was a challenge not to be taken lightly.

A Few Minutes Later,

"Wake up!!!"

"Fuck!!" I cursed opening my eyes.

As I meticulously picked out my outfit for the award ceremony, Taesang hovered nearby, providing unsolicited commentary on each choice.

"Ugh, that color looks hideous on you. Are you trying to blind people at the ceremony?" he remarked, his tone laced with playful sarcasm.
