So I recently read Life and Death, by Stephenie Meyer. Which has inspired me to write this Twilight Fanfiction. It's about Bella's brother Ken (aka Kenneth) Swan and Edward's sister Sasha Cullen. So this story will be based on the novels, not the movies. Also Ken and Sasha will have a similar relationship to Beau and Edythe from Life and Death. But will have some difference. I hope you all enjoy this story.

(First Sight) Ken's POV

Hi everyone, I'm Kenneth Geoffrey Swan. Though I prefer to be called Ken. I have a younger twin sister Isabella Marie Swan, but she prefers to be called Bella. We're both pale with mum's ears. Except I have dad's dark brown almost black hair. Mum's blue eyes. I'm seventeen and six foot three inches. Bella is five foot four inches, has mum's hair and dad's chocolate brown eyes.

We used to live in Forks for the first three months of our life. Then our parents got a divorce and mum got custody of us. She took us back to California. While dad remained in Forks and became chief of police in Forks. When we were six we moved to Phoenix Arizona. Every summer we'd visit dad in Forks. Though for the last three years we vacation in California with him instead, as Bella found the climate in Forks unpleasant.

At a young age, Bella and I took over doing the house chores. Honestly it feels like sometimes we're the adults and mum is the child. During free time, Bella preferred to sit home and read, in part because she was extraordinarily clumsy. Her naturally responsible nature carried over into her schoolwork, where Bella was generally a straight A student. I am an average student, no where near as clumsy as Bella. But I do have some off days. When I have free time, I swim or go hiking. I love exploring nature. Dad would always take me on hikes when I visited Forks.

Anyway, when we saw how lonely mum was. We encouraged her to date. She meet Phil and fell in love. They got married. While Phil traveled around for his job, Renée stayed home with Bella and I. But we noticed mum is unhappy with this arrangement. We chose to move in with our father in Forks. So that mum could go on the road with Phil during baseball season.

So here Bella and I are, back in Forks. I've been given my own room. As we'll be here the next two years. Bella and I usually shared one over the summer. But Charlie converted the study into a bedroom for me. He also brought Bella and I truck to share. We were iffy at first, but fell in love with it when we saw it. We agreed to take turns driving it.

Today Bella and I will be starting at Forks high school. Forks High School had a frightening total of only three hundred and fifty-seven - now fifty-eight - students; there were more than seven hundred people in my junior class alone back home. All of the kids here had grown up together - their grandparents had been toddlers together. Bella and I will be the new kids from the big city. Oh joy.

One thing you should know about Bella and I. We never really fitted in with our peers. I guess it's because we are very mature for our aged and very independent. I'm also socially awkward and prefer to spend my time alone outside. Doesn't help that I didn't sleep well last due to the light rain hitting the window.

Breakfast with Charlie and Bella, was quiet. Charlie wished us luck on our first day of school. Bella thanked him, but I know his hope would do us no good. Good luck usually avoided Bella. But he didn't need to know that. It was impossible, being in this house, not to realize that Charlie had never gotten over our mom. It made Bella uncomfortable, along with myself.

We didn't want to be too early to school, but we couldn't stay in the house anymore. So we donned our jackets, which had the feel of a bio-hazard suit and headed out into the rain.I agreed to let Bella drive to school and I'd drive us home. I locked the house up while she started the car. She then drove us to school.
