Molly Denali Cullen is not your average human teenager. She is albino for one thing. For another, she was raised by vampires. The Denali and Olympic (Cullen) Covens. You see when she was born, her parents didn't know they both had the albinism gene. They knew they had it themselves, but not their partners. Which increased the chance of their child being born with albinism.
So when she was born, her parents were shocked to say the least. Her mother went into deep depression refusing to believe the little girl born was her's. Her father, tried to make it work. But he just couldn't cope raising a baby alone while his fiance was in a mental hospital. He tried to give them both equal attention, but couldn't. In the end he choose his fiance and put the girl up for adoption.
Carlisle knew how hard it'd be for the girl to be adopted. People with Albinism can had a few other health problems. Most would not want to take on such a big responsibility. So he spoke to Esme about it, then their family. The one who'd have the most difficulty with a human round 24/7 was Jasper. Who was the newest to the family diet. It was decided that they'd adopt the girl and move to Denali. Where their cousins would help raise the child until she became a teenager. By then the Cullens would move to Forks, wanting to give their new daughter a chance at a human life.
Molly loved her family. She figured out at a young age they were different then her. It wasn't until she was ten that she finally got the truth out of Emmet. Her family and their cousins were vampires. While she is a human. But it didn't bother her though, she still loves them with all her heart and longs to with them forever. However, she knows her father would never change her and wanted her to live as a normal human life as possible.
Which is not easy with living in Denali, away from human civilization. Being raised by vampires. Her mum Esme home schooled her along with Jasper. Edward taught her play the piano and chess. Alice and Rosalie would take her shopping, it's the only time she really went to the human world. Emmet played video games with her or stayed up late watching movies with her. Until Carlisle had to carry a sleeping Molly to bed.
But Molly's life changed when her family moved to Forks. She'd never so much rain, she preferred snow. She and her siblings were enrolled into high school. She was in the same year as Alice and Edward. She was very nervous about the new life and always had one of her siblings in class with her and avoided other humans as much as possible.
It made Esme sad, she wanted her daughter to have at least one human friend. But after two years of living in Forks. Molly has not made one. Though that is about to change, thanks to the arrival of Bella Swan and the attraction Edward has to her. Having Bella around, made Molly how much she wished to have a human friend. A feeling she never knew she had, she thought she was fine with her family. But Bella showed her how much she longed for a human connection and she loved that she didn't have to lie to Bella about her family.
But we're getting ahead of ourselves, this story starts with Bella's first day of school. It was a normal day for Molly and her family. She and Edward drove to school. Him in his car with the boys and she drove the girls. In her sky blue Mazda MX-5 Miata. She had her morning classes, then went to the cafeteria with her siblings. Them walking with her in the center like usual.
They entered the cafeteria and got food. Before taking seats at their usual table. Molly eats slowly trying ignore the outside world. Focusing on her family. I know Jasper is struggling being around the other humans after nearly two weeks of no hunting. He is ok with me, being de-sanitized to me after knowing me all my life. Though if I were to bleed, he'd not be able to control himself. The others though, he is not as used to and can slip up more easily.
Edward kicks Jasper's chair, snapping him out of his daze. "Sorry" he mutters.
"You weren't going to do anything" Alice states. "I could see that" she assures him. I knew she was lying, but do nothing to give her away.
"Jessica Stanley is giving the new Swan girl all the dirty laundry on the Cullen clan" Edward tells us. As I take a sip of my water. Having finished my food. Emmet chuckles. "Rather unimaginative, actually. Just the barest hint of scandal. Not an ounce of horror. I'm a little disappointed" he states. I notice Edward become uneasy.
"You ok Edward?" I ask concerned.
"I'm fine" he assures me with a smile.
"Shall we?" Rosalie asks.
"So, is the new one afraid of us yet?" Emmet asks. Edward shrugged. We got up from the table and walked out of the cafeteria. Alice and I headed to our next class together. Art, while Edward headed for Biology.
"Will she interact with our family?" I ask her curious.
"I'm not sure" she states. "But I can't focus on that right now, I want to make sure Jasper is ok" she tells me.
"He'll be fine, he has Emmet and Rosalie there" I assure her. "You going hunting tonight?" I ask quietly as we take our seats. She nods her head. The other students arrived and class began. It was boring. I drove everyone but Edward home as he was at the office for some reason. Trying to get out of his biology class. No doubt he'd explain when he gets home.
When we got home, I did my homework. Before Edward returned. He decided to leave to go visit our cousins in Denali. I wanted to go, I miss our cousins. Even though we have gone there every summer since we moved to Forks. I don't really understand why he had to leave so suddenly. But I support him and plan meeting Bella, wanting to know what could of driven my brother to leave us. His family.
