The sun slowly rose in the east, bringing light to cold early morning. The sky shined brighter as the sun arose, tinting the snow a light blue. The snow sprinkled the back porch and furniture, painting them a paper-white color. Christmas lights flicked on just before the back door quickly slid open.Ranboo, panting, scurried outside, not wanting anybody to see him. No one else was awake so now was a perfect time deal with this.. "situation". Shaking, they walked over to one of the back porch chairs, panicking.
"What do I do-?" He asked themself, hyperventilating. Gripping the chair's armrests, he looked down at their other tail; his cat tail! They snatched it, angry and scared.
"I can't let them see me like this!" He exclaimed, crying into their furry kitty tail. He sighed and brought their hands to his second pair of ears; their cat ears! He pat them, softly playing with them. They slouched, calming down a bit.
"Okay, it's okay," He told themself. He sighed and leaned back on the comfy chair cushions. They sighed and slowed his breathing, slowly processing everything. Then, they heard a few couch creaks from inside.
"That traveler must be awake!" Ranboo exclaimed, standing up. He jogged back inside to greet their tired guest. Opening the door, he caught the traveler's attention.
"Oh.. good morning," They greeted, looking up at the nervous enderman. Ranboo smiled awkwardly and walked past the kitchen, towards the living room.
"Good morning! How are you?" They asked, hiding his tail behind their back. He put their ears back, trying to hide them from the unsuspecting traveler.
"I'm fine, thanks," The traveler said, quietly.
"Are you warm?" Ranboo asked, curious. The traveler nodded, bringing their knees up to their chest. Staring at their knees, they sat in silence as Ranboo walked over to the couch.
"Do you need some food?" They asked the traveler, sitting down on the couch. The traveler looked up at him.
"Um.. yeah," They whispered. Ranboo smiled and turned to face them.
"So why are you out in the forest?" He questioned, curious.
"I'm headed to my parents' house for the holidays," They said, taking off their scarf, sweating. Taking off their hat, their short brown curls fell in front of their face. Ranboo noticed something familiar about them. With their scarf and hat on, they just looked like stranger. Now they looked like the sibling of someone Ranboo knew.
"It's only Dec 3, why are you leaving so early?" They asked, confused.
"We have plans to go to the city.." The traveler responded, getting quieter.
"Fun! Do you have any siblings?" Ranboo asked again, letting go of his second tail and letting their kitty ears relax.
"Two, one is here," The traveler added, looking back down at their knees.
"Wait what?!" Ranboo exclaimed.
"I doubt Techno recognized me last night because of my hat and scarf," They confessed, sighing. Ranboo's jaw dropped.
"I look more like my oldest brother, Wilbur, but I act more like Techno sometimes," They said, straightening their legs, still looking down.
"I didn't know they had a sister!" Ranboo remarked. The traveler looked up at him offended.
"I'm non-binary!" They said, quietly, annoyed. Ranboo gasped.
"Oh sorry!" They apologized, feeling really bad.
"It's fine," The traveler whispered, bored.
"What would you like for breakfast?" Ranboo asked, standing up.
