- You spent all of Sunday in your room, giggling and kicking your feet thinking about your outing with Karma. Thinking about how it felt to hug him tight, how his wrist felt in your hand, how he looked in his street clothes.
'He's so cute! And he smells so good, he's just so perfect,' you hugged your pillow tight.
You slowly drifted into a deep sleep, dreaming of none other than Karma.
The next morning everything was the same as usual. You got ready, walked to school with Kaori, met the two other girls at the train. While finishing up at your school locker, you saw him. With a grin on his face, Karma waved at you. Your entire face lit up with joy, you began approaching him when..
"Good morning, (L/N)!" Kenji blocked your view of Karma, your smile faded.
"Oh.. Good morning, Yamada," you gave a less enthusiastic smile, to be polite.
"You haven't visited me at the shop, I must say I'm disappointed," he faked a frown.
"Well it's only been a few days," you awkwardly laughed, scratching at your neck. "I got caught up with stuff this weekend, sorry."
"I guess these morning chats we have make up for it, I'm growing to really enjoy them," he smiled once again. "You know what could help make up for it even more?"
"What?"
"Getting your number, you know, to talk outside of school and my job."
'And so Kana can have an excuse to call me what? A slut? Backstabber going for her brother?' You mentally groaned.
"Sure..."
"Don't worry, Kana won't care one bit," he handed you his phone. "She won't even know I bet."
"Oh, that's good, I guess," you hesitently typed out your phone number into a new contact, just titling it as (Y/N) (L/N). "I'd better get going, my friend is waiting for me in class." You handed back the device.
"Oh, okay, yeah. I'll see you later then!"
You let out a small sigh of relief when he walked away. It's not that you didn't like him, you just found it all odd and were quite frankly worried about whatever new rumors Kana would make about you.
You walked into Mr. Hashimoto's classroom to see Karma, seated at his desk with his arms crossed, brows a bit furrowed and biting at his lower lip slightly. Mr. Hashimoto was most likely in the teacher's lounge as he was most mornings.
"Good morning, Karma," you smiled as you sat down.
"Who was that?" He asked in an almost snappy tone.
"Uh.. Who?" You knew exactly who.
"Oh good morning, (L/N)!" He mocked Kenji. "So, who was it? Your boyfriend?"
"Boyfriend? What, no of course not! That's Yamada, our upperclassman," you sighed. "He's my old friend's older brother."
"If he's related to your old friend, why is he still talking to you?"
"I don't know, I thought it'd be rude to ask.."
"So what if it's rude? You don't owe him any respect, has he done anything to earn your kindness?"
"Why does it matter if he talks to me or not? It's just like three minutes of my morning. Are you mad at me or something?"
He sighed.
"No, I can't be mad over that," he leaned back in his chair. "Not like I'm your boyfriend," he muttered.
"What was that?"
"Nothing, don't worry about it," his frown shifted to a small smile. "Sorry, I don't know why I got like that. My bad."
"Oh.. It's fine, don't worry about it. I guess I got concerned with that.. Naka.. Naka-something that one time."
"Nakamura, yeah I remember," he chuckled.
"Yeah.." That uneasy feeling appeared in your stomach. "Anyhow, we're presenting our essays soon, final read through and edit?" You suggested.
"Of course, princess."
