The sun shone through the tiniest crack in the curtains, finding itself shining directly into Bremerton's closed eyes. She stirred uncomfortably before eventually turning over as she heard her phone vibrate.

Letting the light from the screen flood her vision, she saw a message from Baltimore, mentioning that she was going to have a counselling session with one of the Imperium ships. With a deep sigh, she sat up and prepared to meet with the ship.

Wandering through the halls felt so different since the Imperium took over command. Instead of the semi-empty hallways, there were the occasional servo-skulls hovering around, an auto-scribe hall that was aboard the Vengeance Incandescent did the majority of the paperwork so the Admiral spent most of his time interacting with the other shipgirls in the base. Often he was found in the mess hall with Belfast hovering ominously over his shoulder. HMS Sirius was constantly at his side as well, taking care of mundane tasks like cleaning his office, despite how much he protested.

But that was not her concern for the moment, for now she stopped in front of a door that had a large circular symbol painted onto it. The nameplate was clear.

CONQUEROR

She took a deep breath and knocked on the door. There was a muffled thud before some scrambling around, but finally the door was opened.

Bremerton's eyes widened as she saw Conqueror standing before her. She wore nothing except for a pair of pyjama shorts, so the American ship was subjected to the full view of the World Eaters flagship's rippling muscles.

Bremerton: "... Holy shit."

Conqueror: "Is there a problem?"

Bremerton: "N- No, just... feeling slightly inferior."

Conqueror raised an eyebrow, but dismissed the lesser ship's comment before inviting her in. Bremerton walked into Conqueror's room, finding a set of outrageously large weights situated near her bed. Near that was a huge leather-bound book.

Bremerton: "You much of a reader?"

Conqueror: "No. It's a ledger of the names of my legion. Everyone who was ever a War Hound or World Eater is recorded in there."

Bremerton: "The admiral mentioned you girls have a fondness for your legions."

Conqueror let a small smile emerge on her face as she thought to the days of the War Hounds.

Conqueror: "Yes... I love my legion as though they were my own brothers."

Bremerton smiled as she brought out a small notebook.

Bremerton: "Right, I should explain, but I imagine you already know. I've been asked to give you some counselling sessions until you've fully recovered from the removal of the butcher's nails."

Conqueror: "I was informed ahead of time. Wasn't expecting you to be so early though."

Bremerton: "Well for things like this it's better to get 'em out of the way early, no?"

Conqueror chuckled before the session truly began.

Bremerton: "I'm gonna start off with a personal question. Could you tell me about your legion?"

Conqueror: "... We were founded on Terra by the Emperor of Mankind. The War Hounds were our original name. Our early missions only ended in either a simple slaughter, or a victorious one."

Bremerton nodded as she took some notes.

Conqueror: "But... Then the Emperor found Nuseria. My Primarch, Angron, was on that world."

Bremerton noted the sadness in Conqueror's voice as she spoke of her Primarch.

Bremerton: "This... Angron guy, what was he like?"
