One month later
I looked down at my acceptance letter I received last week, disbelief still washed over me. Tomorrow I'd start a whole new life, fighting for my country, my life.
Ponyboy sat on the bed and watched me. "So you're really leaving, huh Soda?" He said.
I turned around. "Yeah, I really am, Pony." I said sitting down next to him.
His face dropped. "What if you die, Soda? I can't lose you too." Pony sighed and laid down flat on the bed.
I laid down next to him. "Even if I do die, you still have people, Pony. You won't be alone." I said, turning to him smiling. "I'll be okay. Promise." I sat up and sighed, gingerly touching my hair. "Darry's waiting for me, isn't he?" I asked.
Pony sat up as well. "Yep."
I groaned and walked out the room into the bathroom.
Darry waited for me, holding hair clippers. "I'm sorry bud, but it's got to be done." Darry said, clicking it on.
I winced at its buzz, and sat down on the toilet seat. I looked at Pony, and he gave me a reassuring nod.
"Hey, at least you don't have to bleach your hair." He said, ruffling his half-Brown half-blonde hair.
I chuckled as Darry started to shave my hair off. I watched as the clumps of hair fell on my lap and on the floor. My heart felt heavy, like I was leaving who I am behind.
After thirty minutes, my hair was gone. I refused to look in the mirror, I had no reason to anymore.
I grabbed my bag and swung it over my shoulder, I had to be at the airport in an hour. The gang all stood in the living room.
Steve rubbed his hair uncomfortably. "I'm gonna miss you like heck, Soda." He said. After a quick glance at Darry, he pulled me into a big hug. "Come back to me." He whispered in my ear. He departed from the hug and turned away with his hand to his face.
Two-Bit's eyes looked glassy as he walked up to me. "I uh.. I'll eat a piece of cake for you every day you're gone." He said before he hugged me.
Ponyboy had silent tears rolling down his cheeks. He nibbled at his lip. I pulled him in for a tight hug. "I love you, Ponyboy."
He pulled away. "I love you too, Sodapop."
Darry was already in tears when I got up to him. "You better not die on me." He said as he pulled me into a bone crushing hug.
I departed and stood at the doorway. "Bye guys, I'll see y'all in a few months." I said, smiling before I exited.
A taxi waited for me, to start a whole new life.
Sooo next chapter will be the last of my Greased Up series! It's been fun. And long. Sorry. But I still love you all!

Greased Up 2 - Life After Death - Sodapop Curtis
Fiksi PenggemarGreased Up 1 was about Katelyn Waters, and how she fell in love w/ Dallas Winston. In case people haven't read it, I won't spoil. But this is the second book, in Sodapops POV after everything happened.
