"Here you go, princess" Christian said sitting a plate in front of Jade while she texted "everything alright?"
"Mhm, my mom was just telling me that he just went in for his scans and got some bloodwork, routine stuff, and he'll probably be done by the time we get there".
"Okay. Does she want to come eat with us?"
"I'll ask her when we get there, we're not in a rush right?"
"Not at all, we can stay as long as you want".
"Thank you" Jade smiled.
"Of course. My mom called and said Cordens girlfriend is gonna be coming with them, you okay with that?"
"Yea, for sure. Do you know her?"
"Um I did when I was there, she was cool. They were also in like eighth grade when they started dating".
"And they're juniors? That's impressive" she praised.
"Definitely, the kids got a good head on him. Much better with girls than I was in high school" he joked.
"Is that right?"
"I've matured, don't worry".
"Good for me then. Are you working tomorrow?"
"I have to go in for a couple of meetings but I'll get off early. Did you need something?"
"No, just asking. I might go out, we could use new stuff".
"Like what?"
"Just like a comforter and towels and probably whatever I see".
"Ah, so you just wanna spend money, princess?" he asked with a smile.
"You get it" she returned the smile with a laugh as they continued eating.

"Hi, how you feeling?" Jade asked, kissing Nicks cheek and handing him the smoothie they brought while Christian gave one to Laura.
"Not terrible, just tired. Thanks for this".
"Of course. Mom, we were gonna grab lunch whenever we leave here, you're welcome to join us".
"I have work tonight, I was gonna go home and take a quick nap. Thank you though".
"No problem, what about you kid, we could order you lunch?"
"I'm not hungry yet, but sure" he said and Jade nodded.
"When are your brother and sister coming out again?" Laura asked.
"The summer, whenever they're done with school".
"The whole summer?"
"2 weeks".
"Oh that should be fun".
"Should be. Works going okay?" Christian asked.
"As okay as it can be, tiring, but I can't complain".
"I'm happy to help Laura".
"I know and you're already helping so much. Don't worry about it".
"Well, still".
"Thank you. Decide where you were going on vacation yet?"
"I'm thinking Switzerland or Rome, both look so nice" Jade said.
"Do you have a say in the matter?" Laura asked with a laughed.
"I'm basically just a credit card. But really, wherever she wants to go, I'm okay with it" he smiled.
