Takemichi held a solemn expression as he walked through the rubble of the abandoned building.

He seriously thought he had at this time.

He had saved the Shiba siblings. From what he was aware of, [name] stopped seeing Kisaki which meant that Aiko's life was no longer in danger. Takemichi had accomplished all the goals he had set for himself, so when he returned to the future, he was expecting everything to be fixed!

So why was this future so much worse compared to the others?

Not only did he not save Hina, but all his friends and major Toman members have been murdered. The possible culprit?

Sano Manjiro himself.

Everything had gone so wrong so quickly that Takemichi was unsure what happened. He began doubting if getting Kisaki kicked out of Toman was the right idea. Did Mikey need Kisaki?

'No... Mikey needed [name]-chan... so where is she now?'

His mind went back to the photo he had taken with the female along with the rest of the Toman captains. It came to him as a letter from Mikey who told him to meet where he was headed now.

According to Naoto, [name] and Kisaki never ended up dating and subsequently didn't get married. This also meant that Aiko should not have gone missing, but it seems that the ravenette remained MIA even in this future. Additionally, [name] was out of the picture as well. Takemichi grunted. These were all just additional pieces to the puzzle he has still yet to understand.

But as his eyes landed on the person who seemed to be in the center of it all, the hope in Takemichi grew.

Mikey sat atop a pile of rubble, exactly where he had told Takemichi about twelve years ago. And as Takemichi stared into Mikey's dark eyes, he knew that this man could not have been the one to murder all of their friends. It just couldn't be. The more the two conversed and caught up with each other, this fact just embedded further into Takemichi's mind.

"Why did you leave Toman, Takemicchi..." Mikey's voice was low as he questioned the boy. "Do you know how worse that made things?... I tried to get you to stop but Kenchin and Mitsuya didn't let me."

Realization quickly dawned on Takemichi. "Don't tell me that you..."

Mikey seemed to smirk at the man's surprise. "Yeah, that's right. I killed them... I killed them all." Takemichi could feel his heartbeat spike as Mikey took steps closer to him, stopping right in front of his face. "And I want you to stop me. Kill me, Takemicchi."

Takemichi could feel his heart drop to the pits of his stomach when he heard Mikey's words. "What are you talking about, Mikey-kun?!"

The defeated male sent a smile his way. "I thought I could fulfill my brother's dream... of creating a new age of gangsters." Mikey glanced up at the sky, a longing filling his eyes. "Toman was on the right track. It was going so well, and then all of a sudden, it ended up like this..."

"Like this...?" Takemichi stood off to the side, doing his best to keep a straight face as he listened to every single word Mikey said.

"Takemicchi... when I killed for the first time, I felt nothing," Mikey admitted, finally glancing back down at the male. "In fact, I felt happy. I felt that all the problems in the world could be solved with murder. All is well when you eliminate those in your way!"
