"AIKOOOOO!"

Takemichi flinched as he whipped his head toward his partner. "Chifuyu, why are you yelling?! It's late!"

The blond just shrugged, "So she'll come out faster, the lazy ass. Aiko!!!"

And lo and behold, the door opened to an angry-looking Aiko wrapped in a thick blanket. "Could you be any louder, Chifuyu?!" She growled as she stomped her way toward them. "You'll wake up the entire neighbourhood at this point!"

"How else are you going to hear me through your loud ass snores?" Chifuyu teased, earning a glare from the short girl.

Aiko sighed, "So, what's this then?"

"I'm going back to the future." Takemichi informed her, "I think I might be able to find out more about what happens if I talk to Naoto." Takemichi paused for a moment before continuing, "And I hope that maybe since you're still alive, things would've gotten better. So maybe it isn't necessary..."

Chifuyu awed and hit a fist to his palm, "That's right! This all started because Mikey killed Aiko, huh?" He realized, "So maybe things will be better now? [name]-chan wouldn't have left!"

Aiko brought a hand to her chin in thought, "I sure hope that's the case..."

Takemichi smiled and nodded his head. "I'll be heading over to Hina's now. But, Chifuyu, Aiko-chan..." The two looked at him. "Twelve years from now, on this day, let's all meet again, okay?!"

Chifuyu and Aiko sent the boy a smile before nodding their heads.

"Let's do it."

That was what was supposed to happen. They were supposed to meet up and celebrate their victory because they saved everyone.

But how did it come to this?

Takemichi's breath was rapid and hitched. He was just shot and he was chasing after every single breath he could take. His watering eyes landed on Naoto who lay next to him in a similar condition.

Nothing had changed. He came back to the future only to find out that everything has remained the same. Aiko and Chifuyu were still dead. [name] had still vanished. And now, he and Naoto were knocking on death's door after being shot by none other than Izana, Kisaki and Kakucho.

It was then that he heard the rev of a car engine and from his peripheral vision, he could see a car park right above them. The passenger door opened and Takemichi's eyes widened at who he saw.

The girl in the centre of it all.

Tears ran down her [e/c] eyes as she called out for him, shaking his shoulders. "Takemichi-kun! Takemichi-kun, stay with me, please!" Her [h/c] hair swayed as she moved to look over at the male beside her. "Oh my god, is that Naoto-kun?!" She turned to look behind her. "Call an ambulance, hurry!"

As [name] fretted over their dying selves, Takemichi could only cry in relief. 'You're here... I finally found you... After all these futures, I finally have proof you exist!'
