Verity said her goodbye to her parents and got into Matt's van. She was last in and the whole crew was there. Verity wore a black top, white hoodie and khaki short-shorts.

Matt was driving, Chris in the passenger seat, Nick, Meitha and Harry in the back.

Verity saw a little space for her to sit and scoffed. "Y'all are dreaming if you think im fitting in there." Meitha turned her head around sharply, her eyes widened. "SHUT UP MEI OH M-" Verity laughed.

Verity ended up sitting against the door on Nicks lap. Verity had known him for most of her life so it wasn't weird. Everyone laughed and giggled along as they all spoke.

As Meitha was telling a story, Verity noticed Chris's eyes fixated on her through the rearview mirror. She ignored him and laughed along with Mei.

As soon as they all arrived, Verity got off of Nicks lap because, in her opinion, Nicks lap was so uncomfortable.

Once they got sat down and given menus, the chatter restarted. Harry wouldn't shut up about how he heard Harmony might like Matt but Matt went silent.

"What is it Matt? You've liked her since the 4th Grade!" Harry laughed, it dying down when Matt looked away

"I don't think I like her anymore, to be honest." Matt shrugged. "I saw her bully some 9th grader"

"Oh," Verity sighed, putting an arm over Matts shoulder. "Didn't like her anyway, she's a bitch." Verity laughed as Matt smiled.

Chris rubbed his jaw in jealousy as Verity knew any others physical touch on her drove Chris crazy, and she liked it.

She pulled away from Matt as the waitress came.

"Oh goodness, you guys seem like such a cute couple!" The waitress exclaimed.

Matt blushed furiously and looked away quickly. Chris swallowed his words before glaring at Matt and Verity. Verity smiled and thanked the waitress.

"Thank you but were not dating, I just got out of a serious relationship." She said warmly, the waitress apologised immediately.

"Oh gosh, I am so sorry. I just noticed that my daughter watched some of you guys on youtube and I just wanted to make a good impression I'm so sor-"

"No, its okay seriously." Verity grinned "Would you like a photo?"

The waitress nodded and they all took a selfie. "Thank you so much. I'll get your guys food as fast as possible." The waitress smiled before saying goodbye.

"Stop she was so sweet." Meitha chimed as Harry agreed "Stop I love her. I wish her daughter was here."

Verity agreed with Harry and everyone went to chattering away, except Chris.

Chris sat silently, rage boiling in his blood. Everything that happens adds up now. How close Matt and Verity got after they broke up. When Matt comforted her last week, when Matt blushes around her, especially when the waitress pointed it out. Matt doesn't even like Harmony anymore.

"Chris?" Mei spoke to Chris while everyone kept talking. "You okay?" Chris's eyes came back to life as they flickered across the room.

"Hm?" He looked at Meitha. "Oh, yeah sorry just in thought." He smiled as Meitha nodded, joining back into the conversation with Chris.
