A little explanation about the story's background, to understand what West, North or South corridors mean:

Kajo is the all-boy high school of a bigger educational organisation, renowned in the whole country. To enter Kajo, you have to be the richest or the smartest student, or ideally, both. However, besides the top notch courses and excellent professors, Kajo, isolated from the rest of the world, goes by its own rules.

The South Building hosts the scholarship holders: the smart kids who don't have the renown, nor the money.

The East Building is more private, since it hosts the professors.

While the North and West buildings are houses to all the richest kids in the country and even of the continent -or even further, for that matter.

Besides functioning like a miniature city, with huge gardens, a forest, tennis courts, horses and more, the students from the North and the West have established a very strict hierarchy within their dorms. The West's dorms' corridors going from the letter A to the letter Z, and the North's from Alpha to Omega, it had been decided -without actually any rational roots- that the higher your corridor was, the more desirable you would be. A and Alpha being the elite.

And yes, you guessed it, sex and relationships play a big part in Kajo, since the all-ruling director also plays her part by choosing who goes to the North and who goes to the West. And it matters a whole lot, since the North is where all the presumably bottoms go, and the West, where the tops go. But even the all-seeing director can make mistakes. And young minds don't like rules.
