Sasuke's Pov

Per usual, we were agressively forced awake by the blonde loudmouth. It seemed he had taken it upon himself to be our personal alarm clock.

Naruto was greeted with curses but just waved it away with a smile and his horrible rendition of a common folk song. It was embarrassing to listen to considering the fact that he was a professional singer.

Having heard enough to make my ears bleed, I hurried to our shared bathroom and slammed the door. The bathroom wasn't enough to keep out his horrible singing but was sufficient in muffling his voice.

As I brushed, I heard a loud whack and Naruto's singing was finally muted. Few minutes later, I was bathed and dressed. I stepped out in a dark shirt and jeans and made my way to my bed with a word.

Grabbing a few bills from my bag, I headed to the cafeteria. To my utter surprise, the cafeteria was full to the brim. I checked my phone, it was only an hour and half before our morning class began.

Slipping through the crowd, I made my way to the food stalls and bought food for my whole band. The food here was a bit different from what I was used to but nonetheless I found something suitable and went back to my dorm.

"Oi Sasuke!" A feminine voice called. I turned back was met face to face with a pink haired demi human. Staring into her jade eyes, recognition flashed through my mind.

She was part of Neji's sister's friends. What was her name?

"Funny running into you here," she laughed, her ears perking up as she did.

Having no interest whatsoever in the conversation, I replied with my signature "Hn". The pinkette, however, did not seem to be deterred by my one word answer and continued rambling.

I looked around, trying to find a clever way to escape. In the presence of none, I decided to just walk away.

I turned around and walked away as the pinkette chattered away. As I slipped out of the cafeteria, I could have sworn, I heard her call me a jerk.

I pushed open the doors of my dorm and was welcomed with the rare sight of Shikamaru whacking Naruto. I turned to Neji who only shrugged and said Naruto deserved it.

He probably did.

Raising the bag of food I bought, I took the bowl of miso soup and began slurping almost immediately. The boys followed suit, taking food according to their preferences. We all kept to our devices as we ate our food.

Sakura's pov

Soon enough, we were all dressed and ready for class. However it was only 5:00 am which was much too early for class. As I listened to the riveting tale Ino was telling, I realized how hungry I was.

Slipping off my bed, I announced. "I'm going to the cafeteria to get some food. Do you want anything?"

Tenten's ears perked up at the mention of food. I laughed quietly.

Guess she's also hungry.

I wrote down the girl's orders and made my way to the cafeteria. Unsurprisingly, the cafeteria was filled to the brim. I greeted fellow students and acquaintances and I approached the stall.

I bought the food, paid and returned. As I was walking, a familiar ravenette came to sight.

Sasuke, was it?

He stuck out like a sore thumb in the crowd of demi and special humans alike.

I stared at him for a few seconds before finally deciding to interact.

"Oi Sasuke!" I called out as I walked in his direction. He turned back and I could see his onyx eyes staring into my jade ones.

"Funny running into you here!" I laughed attempting to break the ice.

"Hn." was his only reply.

Our previous conversation came to mind. He only ever answered my questions with that word. I wondered if he was verbally impaired or lacked basic manners to respond when others talked to him.

It was probably the latter, acknowledging his music career.

However, I didn't let that deter me. I continued talk about random things, the words spilling out of me uncontrollably.

Much to my surprise, as I was talking, he side stepped me and walked away. I stared at his retreating figure in shock for a few seconds.

The audacity!

“That jerk!" I muttered. How dare he just walk away while I am talking? So rude!

Offended, I huffed and walked away. I pushed open the door with more force than necessary and received inquisitive stares from my friends as a result.

“What are you so mad about?" Tenten asked as she grabbed a bento box.

The girls followed suit, each grabbing their preferred food.

“Nothing," I answered gruffly as I took a bite of my dango. The sweet treat soothed my anger.

“Well that's clearly a lie," Ino said between bites. “You look like you're one wrong word away from snapping."

At Ino's blunt observation, I sighed.

“I'm so sorry you guys. Someone just pissed me off at the cafeteria." I admitted.

“But who could annoy you Sakura-chan?" Hinata asked, her voice soft as usual.

“Are you kidding Hinata?" Ino scoffed. “Anyone could easily piss off forehead. She has a short temper."

“So do you," I muttered under my breath.

“What did you say?" She questioned, standing. Her tone was challenging.

Before I could retort, Tenten interrupted.

“Don't start. You're not little children," she reprimanded. “Back to the question Sakura; who pissed you off that you almost broke down our door?"

“It was Sasuke." I replied simply.

“Ni-san's friend?"

“Yeah."

“How did he piss you off?"

I relayed what transpired in the cafeteria to my friends. They all different reactions.

While Ino agreed with me, Tenten defended Sasuke saying it was unnecessary to chat with him when he had clearly shown no signs of interest. Hinata nodded and Temari, when asked agreed with Tenten.

We eventually moved on to another topic and were having a light hearted conversation when it was time for class.
