Sarah sat in the plane, staring at her phone screen. Did Max really just decide to meet her at the airport just to wait with her for her connecting flight? She quickly sent him a message, telling him to forget about it, but she had a feeling that even if the message arrived in time, he would ignore it. She knew Max well enough to understand that once he set his mind on something, no one could change it.

The closer she got to her destination, the more nervous Sarah became

The closer she got to her destination, the more nervous Sarah became. In the last 30 minutes, she disappeared into the airplane restroom to freshen up. She looked at herself in the mirror. Oh, how she wished for a cute outfit right now. Instead, she would greet Max in sweatpants. Couldn't he have given her a at least some Indication? Where did he even find the courage to decide this for her? Despite her reservations, she couldn't help but grin because secretly, she found the gesture sweet and thoughtful. Contrary to media reports she had read before, Max was a loving and sincere guy. Many people labeled him as ruthless and relentless, but let's be honest, doesn't every racer have to be passionate and determined, especially when competing against others with the same goal, winning the championship?
When Sarah finally retrieved her luggage, she made her way to the arrival hall. Many people were waiting there, but one stood out more than the others. She had spotted him from a distance.

There he was, engrossed in his phone, as if he wanted to avoid contact with people as much as possible to go unrecognized

There he was, engrossed in his phone, as if he wanted to avoid contact with people as much as possible to go unrecognized. Sarah couldn't resist greeting him from behind with the line, "Can we take a picture together?" As she pressed her lips close to his ear, he jolted briefly. But in the same moment, he recognized Sarah's voice, turned abruptly, and pulled her into his arms. Even though it had been only a week since they last saw each other, he had missed her and longed for her closeness.
"Always with my biggest fan," he laughed as they broke the warm embrace. "Give me your suitcase. I have some plans for us today," he said to Sarah, taking the suitcase from her hand. "Hold on a second, Max. My flight is in 2 hours. Whatever you have planned, it won't fit in that time," Sarah replied.
"First of all thats so german of you. Second of all consider the flight as canceled," he said.
"Wait, what?" Sarah couldn't believe it. "Do you remember when you said you wanted to experience Paris for the first time with someone special? Here I am," he continued. Sarah couldn't help but burst into laughter. "You're crazy! And who says you're that kind of special?" He pinched her cheek, saying, "Baby, I see it in your eyes."
