The next morning - Max and Daniel had made plans to catch up over breakfast. The morning sun filtered through the windows, casting a soft glow on the hotel's dining hall entrance where they stood. Their eyes were on a mission as they observed the room, searching for an free table.
Amidst this, Max's gaze unexpectedly locked with Sarah's, the girl from yesterday, the one he couldn't get out of his mind.Recognizing her, Max's lips moved as he tried to convey the question, "You found him!?" Sarah responded with a smile, her nod confirming Max's assumption.
Observing Max's interaction, Daniel's curiosity was piqued. He couldn't help but asked about it. Max proceeded to reveal that there had been an incident involving this girl the previous day. Eager for more information, Daniel probed further, "Who, exactly?" Max responded with discreet gestures, guiding Daniel's attention towards Sarah. As Daniel's gaze shifted to follow Max's indication and landed on Sarah, a spark of recognition and disbelief registered on his face. It was Sarah Vettel. Daniel was familiar with her through Sebastian, and his mind raced, "Oh, shit, that's Sarah Vettel. I definitely need to say hello."
Max was caught off guard by Daniel's revelation. Questions swirled in his mind—how did Daniel know her, and did he just say "Sarah Vettel, like Sebastian Vettel"? However, before Max could process this information, his attention was pulled back to the unfolding scene. Driven by the urge to greet Sarah, Daniel started walking towards the table where she and Sebastian were seated. Coincidentally, Sebastian turned at that very moment, his eyes meeting Daniel's and Max's approaching figure. His expression was warm and welcoming.Unbothered, Daniel continued his stride to Sarah. With an air of familiarity, he embraced her in a deep and sincere hug. For that brief moment, the presence of Sebastian seemed to fade into the background as the connection between Daniel and Sarah took center stage.
What are you doing here, and why wasn't I informed?" Daniel's voice carried curiosity as he addressed Sarah. Sebastian, ever ready to jump in, explained, "She just arrived and wanted to see me first."
"After meeting with Sebastian, I would obvious let you know I was back," Sarah clarified, her response directed at Daniel. Her words emphasized her intention to inform Daniel about her return as soon as possible.
Meanwhile, Max remained caught in a web of confusion, trying to piece together the connections between the trio. It was almost as if Daniel could sense Max's perplexity, prompting him to delve into the past. The times when he, Sarah, and Sebastian used to hang out together in the paddock before every race. They possessed unique talents for finding ways to annoy Christian Horner, the team principal of RB. Daniel's storytelling painted a vivid picture of their mischievous escapades that often left Horner both exasperated and amused.
The stories Daniel shared painted a clearer picture for Max. The shared history that they built in the paddock illuminated the reasons behind the familiarity between Sarah, Daniel, and Sebastian. Like pieces of a jigsaw puzzle snapping into place, Daniel's anecdotes provided context and insight. It became evident that their shared experiences in the paddock had forged an unbreakable bond between the three of them. While Sebastian and Daniel were engrossed in conversation,Max approached Sarah, striking up a conversation of their own. Max smiled at Sarah and spoke with a touch of amusement in his voice, "I didn't realize you were a Vettel."
Sarah chuckled softly, her eyes meeting Max's. "Yes, well, I usually don't go around introducing myself that way."
Max's smile grew, intrigued by their unexpected connection. "Fair enough. I guess we had our little mix-up yesterday."
Sarah nodded, her lips curling into a playful grin. "Definitely an interesting way to meet someone.""So, you're here for the race?"
Sarah nodded again. "Yes and no. Of course I thought I'd come out and support my brother. It's been a while since the last time. But I'm also here for work"
Max's expression softened. "That's nice. It's always great to have family around. What work exactly may I ask?"„I just finished my Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and now i'm involved in Shell's Formula 1 team, specifically in the realm of media management.
So basically it entails planning and coordinating PR activities, shaping media campaigns, and nurturing relationships with journalists and media partners."„Oh wow, and here I am just driving laps in circles with a car. Now I'm feeling quite insignificant." His words were accompanied by a hearty chuckle, as he playfully emphasized the contrast between his high-speed laps on the racetrack and the intricate, multi-faceted world that Sarah navigated. With a twinkle in his eye, Max continued, "I mean, I thought I was doing something cool, but you're out here orchestrating media strategies and creating campaigns that reach millions."
Their conversation flowed naturally, a mixture of lightheartedness and genuine interest. Max found himself drawn to Sarah's easygoing demeanor and her down-to-earth attitude. He was genuinely curious about her, wanting to know more about the woman who had mistakenly knocked on his door.
Meanwhile, as Max and Sarah chatted, Sebastian and Daniel continued their own conversation. Daniel looked at Sebastian with an amused expression. "So, you didn't tell me your sister was around." Sebastian shrugged, "I wanted it to be a surprise." Daniel laughed. "Well, I must say, it worked. It's good to see her here."
Sebastian's smile was warm. "Yeah, it's nice to have her visit. She's been focused on her studies and other things lately."
As they spoke, Daniel's attention shifted back to Max and Sarah. He caught snippets of their conversation and couldn't help but chuckle. He leaned in closer to Sebastian, his tone playful. "Seems like Max is quite taken with your sister."
Sebastian turned his gaze towards Max and Sarah, a knowing smile tugging at his lips. "Oh, is that so?"
Daniel nodded, a grin on his face. "Definitely. It looks like they're getting along well."
Sebastian glanced back at Daniel. "Well, as long as they're enjoying themselves and Max keep his hands to himself...
