A Typical Time Turner Mishap

Prologue

2021

Walking through the fire place into the Potter's living room, a smile immediately came to Cassie's face. She loved coming to the Potter's. It was basically her home away from home. It's a good thing her dad was such good friends with the Potters.

Cassiopeia Malfoy, daughter of Draco and Astoria Malfoy. Her mom died a few years after she was born. It took a while, but her dad finally remarried a few years ago. The thing is, her step mom, Angela, was a complete asshole to her. And her dad had no idea. That's why she loved going to the Potter's so much, because there she could escape her step mom.

Her father was dropping her and he brother, Scorpius, off at the Potter's house while all of their parents were to go to a fancy gala at the ministry. Victoire and Teddy were supposed to make sure all the kids stayed out of trouble.

"Alright," Harry started, "Be good. Especially you James."

"And Fred." Angelina says. The two look offended.

"We would never!" they both shout at the same time. Pretty much every single person in the room rolled their eyes at the two. They really followed in their namesake's footsteps.

"Alright, we have to go. Bye everyone! Be good!" Hermione says, wanting to be on time. She rushes everyone into the fireplace where they take the floo system to the gala.

After a while, everything was relatively calm. Teddy and Victoire were talking quietly, discussing their wedding. Dominique, Rose, and Lily were all gossiping in the corner, Molly, Lucy, Louis, Fred, and Hugo were playing/watching others play wizards chess, Albus and Scorpius had wondered off trying to find their siblings, and James and Cassie hadn't actually been seen for a while, though no one had really noticed.

All of a sudden, they heard a loud shout and crash from upstairs, and everyone bolted up there to see what was going on. Teddy, who was in front of everyone, was the first to see that the door to Harry's office was slightly open.

He rushed in there and immediately was filled with rage and annoyance. James, Albus, Cassie and Scorpius all stood there around a mess, presumably things knocked off of Harry's desk.

"James! What the hell did you do?!" Teddy shouts.

"It wasn't me! It was Al!" James tried defending himself.

"You were the ones in here! I was just trying to find you!" Al yelled at James and Cassie. No one noticed the faint gold object that was knocked off of Harry's desk start to have golden smoke spill out.

While everyone was arguing, the smoke began to surround everyone, and the only one to notice, was little Lily.

"Guys!" she tried shouting, but no one could really hear her over all the screaming and fighting.

"Hey guys! Do you see this?!" She shouted once more, and this time, Teddy heard her and looked around.

"James! This is all your fault! What the fu-" before Teddy could finish, they were all enveloped by the smoke and disappeared. All that was left, was the broken time turner and some spilled dust.

A new story, yay! I've been really getting into these types of books and wanted to try writing one of them myself.
