The group all appear right where they were in the past. Except now, Grimmauld Place had a cheerier, more lively atmosphere, just how the Potter's wanted.

The people who didn't go back to the past shot up out of their seats when the others returned.

"Oh! Thank Merlin!" Angelina shouts, embracing her children.

The others all do the same. Except for Angela and the Malfoys. Angela tried to embrace her step children, but they both glared and skirted her hug. Cassie going as far as to shield Scorp from her.

Angela glares but as soon as Draco looks her way, she puts on a big smile.

"Oh! We're so glad you guys are okay! But NEVER do that again!" Ginny says to all the children, but pointedly looking at James and Freddie.

James looks offended. "It wasn't all my fault!"

"Whosever fault it was, just don't do it again!" Hermione warns. The kids all nod.

"Alright, we better get going." George says, excusing his family and leading them to the fireplace.

After that, others slowly start to trickle out, until it's just the Potters and the Malfoys left.

James and Cassie were standing in a corner, whispering to themselves, as their families continued talking.

"Cass, you gotta promise me, if she so much as raises her voice at you, you'll come straight here." James asks worriedly.

"James... I-i can't. You know I can't leave Scorp there." the blonde girl responds, sounding almost broken.

"Then bring him here. Please. I can't stand the thought of you being in danger. I can't stand thinking about what she might do to you."

"Hey, Cass," Draco says, unknowingly interrupting. "We gotta go." Cassie nods and turns back to James, who has a pleading look in his eyes.

Cassie studies him for a moment, then, finally, she gives a small nod. James nods back and brings her into a hug, being mindful of her still healing injury.

Cassie takes his hand and squeezes it before turning to her family and following them through the fireplace.

Once the Malfoys return to their home, Scorpius and Draco run away, playing Merlin knows what game. Angela immediately drops her happy facade and turns on Cassiopeia.

"Why in the absolute bloody hell, would you think time travel would be a good idea?!" Angela shrieks. Cassie flinches but stands her ground.

"It's not like we did it on purpose." the blonde snaps back. Angela huffs and rolls her eyes.

When Draco catches up to Scorpius, they both begin laughing.

"Alright, son. We should get back downstairs. Your mother and I have been worried sick." Draco says, trying to lead his son back the way they came. Scorpius resists, though, which makes Draco look confused.

"What's the matter?" the man asks, concerned. Scorpius looks hesitant.

"Come on, you know you can tell me anything." Draco tries to urge. Scorpius still looks hesitant, but maybe a little less so.

"I-it's just...she's not my mom." he mumbles to his dad, who has to somewhat strain to hear.

"I-I'm sorry, son. I didn't know you felt like that. But I get the feeling that there's more to the story."
