A Typical Time Turner Mishap

After dinner was done everyone just sat around the table, talking. There was plenty of laughter and joking going around. Many of the kids from the future were talking to their future parents.

All of a sudden, Cassie started to feel light headed and she clutched her side. She needed to put more antibiotics on it and change the bandage. She squeezed James's hand to get his attention, and as soon as he looked at her he knew what was going on.

After the two escaped to the bathroom, they locked themselves in there and James pulled out his shrunken med kit from his pocket. After enlarging it, he motioned for Cassie to sit on the counter.

"Is it hurting any more then usual?" James asks her as he stands in between her legs and helps her take off her shirt. When she does, he starts unwrapping her bandage.

Cassie sighs, "Not really. Is it looking any better? I can't tell."

At this point James is putting the antibiotics on. "Uh, a little. I still can't believe your step mom would go this far."

"Well that's Angela for you. Acts all sweet and loving around my dad but the minute he leaves, she's the most abusive dipshit to ever walk the earth. At least she's not hurting Scorp though." Cassie tells James.

James looks at her with despair in his eyes. "God, if I could, I'd get both of you far away from her."

Cassie smiles at him sadly as he finishes putting her bandages on. "I know you would. It's alright. In a couple years, I'll be out of there. And I'll make sure Scorp is either gone with me protected there too."

Cassie brings James in for a hug, which he gladly accepts. After a moment, someone is knocking on the door.

"Merlin, you two better not be continuing your make out session from earlier! That is something I do not want to see again!" Albus' voice comes from the other side of the door.

Cassie and James both laugh. "Sorry Al, let us just finish up in here real quick. You can join us if you want!" James shouts to his brother.

Cassie hits James on his arm, and after receiving a groan from Al, she apologizes. "Sorry, Al. Don't worry. We're not doing anything and we'll be out in a sec."

The two hear Al walk away, then James kisses Cass, helps her pull her shirt back on, pulls her off the counter, and then kisses her again. Cassie giggles and pulls away.

"Come on, Pretty Boy. We gotta go before Al starts thinking the worst." she says, opening the door.

James groans and rolls his eyes, but lets Cassie drag him back downstairs anyways.

Once the two take their seats, they noticed how the atmosphere in the room was a little more subdued. They looked around and could see a burning question in Sirius' eyes.

Sirius looks at the future kids and clears his throat. "Okay," he starts. "some of you future kids are looking at some of us like you have no idea who we are. I can't be the only one noticing this."

The future kids all look down almost guilty. Moody steps forward and huffs. "Why don't you kids tell us who dies. I doubt you'd be looking at some of us like this if we all make it out alive."

Everyone considers his logic. He's right. The kids from the future wouldn't be looking at some of the people from the past the way that they are, unless something bad happened.

Teddy clears his throat. "The first death happens at the end of this school year. Voldemort plants a fake vision in Harry's head about Sirius. So Harry and a few others got to the ministry of magic, in the department of mysteries. They're ambushed by death eaters and the order goes to save them. Whilst dueling Bellatrix, Sirius is hit with the killing curse."

Everyone was listening intently. Harry started tearing up and went over to hug his godfather. Sirius is stunned but accepts the hug from his godson. He then nods for the future kids to go on.

"In Harry's sixth year, Draco Malfoy is forced to be a death eater and he lets other death eaters into the school. Draco goes up and is about to kill Dumbledore like ol' Voldy commanded him to, but Snape stops him. And then, Snape kills Dumbledore." Teddy explains.

Everyone starts freaking out. Yelling at Snape. Dumbledore takes control of the situation and calms everyone down.

"I'm sure Professor Snape had a very logical reason." he says, then nods for Teddy to continue his explanation.

"Yeah. Um, Harry later finds out that Dumbledore was already dying because he was cursed. He wasn't going to last past the end of the year, and that was with the help of Snape and his potions. Snape was a double agent for Dumbledore and warned him that Draco was going to kill him. Dumbledore then told Snape to kill him so Draco wouldn't have to." Teddy finishes.

Everyone is stunned. Dumbledore ordered Snape to kill him? Really? After everyone processed it a little more, James took over for Teddy.

"In Harry's seventh year, during the summer, a few people in the order took some polyjuice potion to look like Harry so that they could transport him safely. During that, Voldemort killed Mad-Eye Moody. And then also Hedwig was killed by a death eater. George is hit with a curse and loses his ear, but that's not really a death."

Everyone looks to Moody, who just grunt out a soft "Everyone has to go sometime."

"Dobby the House Elf dies saving the golden trio and a few other prisoners from the Malfoy Manor." James informs.

More so the golden trio mourn this death. Dobby was a good friend and he dies saving them.

"At the end of the year, it gets really bad. The Battle of Hogwarts happens. We lose...a lot of people. Students, order members, death eaters and the like. The biggest deaths though, are Nymphadora Tonks, Remus Lupin, and Fred Weasley. Then, later, Snape dies as well, killed by Nagini and Voldemort. They each die fighting. And they each die a noble death." James finishes. "Even dad dies for a bit, but he's able to come back."

The Weasley's are all stunned and crying. They all engulf Fred in a hug, which he gladly reciprocates for each and every one of them.

Remus and Tonks look at Teddy sadly. They both hug him.

"Oh! I'm so sorry you grew up without us." Tonks tells him. And Remus just gives him a watery smile that he returns.

"It wasn't all bad. Harry and Grandma Andy raised me incredibly. I always heard stories about how brave and amazing my parents were. And you certainly live up to the expectations." Teddy tells his mom and dad. They just tear up even more and hug him closer.

The Weasley's are all huddled together. Molly wailing "Oh my baby! My baby!" over and over.

Fred, being his usual self, gives his family the best smile he can muster.

"Oh don't be like that. It's like Moody said, everybody's gotta go sometime." he tells them.

After everyone had collected themselves, they all realized just how tired they were. Molly showed each of the future kids to some bedrooms, where they were able to finally rest after their long journey into the past.

Mad-Eye, Dumbledore, McGonagall, and Snape all left, promising to return in the morning to figure things out further.

With that, everyone retired to bed and the house was silent, much like the future version currently was.
