FLORENCE'S POV:
"And you keep getting sick every few mornings?" Daniel asked stretching out my arms to help my shoulder tension.
It was hard to focus on his questions while he pulled my arms in uncomfortable positions. "Yes, I wouldn't say it's consistent but randomly every few days," I replied through gritted teeth.
"Is it happening on match days only."
"No, it's random. Some days I might be playing. I went three days without getting sick until the morning of yesterday's match," I said.
Daniel hummed while shifting my arm again.
"Jeez," I let out a moan but began to feel the relief soon after. "And then randomly today," I added.
"Are you nervous, stressed," he asked curiously.
"Not any more than usual."
"Have you been eating?"
"Less appetite but I'm still forcing myself to fuel," I responded quickly.
Daniel's quiz continued as I kept dishing back answers.
"You're not pregnant are you," he asked with some humor.
"Daniel," I sighed annoyed at his ability to ask so causally. He was like family.
"I'm serious," he replied breaking out his steel rubbing tools for my shoulder area.
"Don't be ridiculous, there are ways to prevent that," I responded ignoring his question. I tried giving as little information possible while dismissing his question.
"Fine. I don't know, stress does weird thing to the body," Daniel said beginning to rub out my deltoid. At this point it was to painful to respond but it was a good pain. Daniel continued on knowing I wouldn't respond while I clenched my jaw. Something about being defending champion having more impact than I'd think even if I wouldn't verbalize it.
