"So spit out what you have to say that is so important to ignore Sunny and I today."
I fell silent and looked at the ground, acting like a kid being told off. I shouldn't have been surprised that Moon was listening into mine and Sunny's conversation. But at the same time, I thought he could've at least respected some type of privacy. I exhaled and realised that the place was dark. Of course, it is. No wonder why I'm having to talk to Moon.
I sighed once more, and began explaining what I dreamt last night, and oh how the heat to my cheeks portrayed my embarrassment of the dream. "Sorry, I know it was a stupid dream and it doesn't mean anything. Yes, I already know the rules about dating colleagues." I started to defend myself from my idiocy. My eyes trailed up from the ground to see that the Moon was really close to me. I jumped back, unassured why he was so quiet.
My eyebrows furrowed in together and wanted to get a response out of Moon, but my phone buzzed in my back pocket. I grumbled at the wrong timing, this call is, but when I checked who's bothering me. My heart stopped. F/N(2) is calling me and F/N(1) is spam texting me. "What the fuck...?" I muttered as I answered the call.
"What is it? I'm on my shift."
F/N(2): "You shouldn't be working with those two animatronics."
"What are you going on about? There's only one animatronic with me, and it's Moon."
F/N(2): "You're already giving them two nicknames!? Moondrop and Sundrop can separate into two animatronics! They haven't told you! You're in danger. They're already showing malfunctions."
"Alright. What are the signs of a malfunction?" I was being too stubborn about this, and idiotic about it. Think of me as the blonde stupid girl in horror movies who always calls out in the dark room a hello and then gets murdered.
F/N(2): "They're allowing you to call them their nicknames. There are so many things wrong about them two. How do you think I'm injured? It was because I tried to work on them and something happened because the next bit I'm in hospital!"
This definitely stopped me in my tracks and my brain went into shutdown-
I jolted right up and I was wide awake. Never in my years did I have two dreams in one day. I'm struggling to even figure out what's a dream and what's a reality at this second. I pinched my arm and I hissed in pain. "Yep... I'm in reality." I exhaled and wondered if I ever told Sunny what my dream was about. But now, something was really off. I grabbed my phone from my back pocket, and I realised it was almost time to get the little ones up and ready to be collected by their parents. I also gave my notifications a quick check and no calls or messages.
"Y/N! You're awake. You fell asleep at your desk before you could even tell me why you ignored me and Moony." Sunny exclaimed, filled with happiness and joy, until he saw my face. "Oh no. Was it a dream? A bad one?" His worry seeped into his voice. I gave a small nod, unsure how to explain both of my dreams. But I want to get two things down for certain.
"Can you and Moon separate? And did you and Moon attack someone here who had to go to hospital somewhat recently?" I asked without going around the ball. Sunny looked like his jaw was about to fall off, which I did think was funny, but my cop side came into play, so I didn't crack a laugh or even a smile. My face gave a serious look which did give off a 'don't lie to me' vibe.
So, this helped me a lot to find out what is going on and not being left in the dark. But Sunny, here, was nervous. I could tell because he's fidgeting a lot more and his sun points weren't spinning as much as it usually does. This is where he's about to tell me the truth. My eagerness was wanting to show through, but I forced myself to not show it. I just gave the blankest stare I could muster up. "I don't know how you got this type of information you've got, but I assure you it was an accident. We didn't mean to hurt F/N(2)." Sunny exclaimed, and before he could say anything more, his hands clapped to his mouth, preventing to speak any further.
Damn I got so close on getting all of the information in one go.. "It's alright... I'm just trying to piece things together. Here's the deal." I smiled sweetly, knowing that I'll have to trade my dreams for the last information. "How about you tell me if you can be separated from Moon and I'll tell you my dreams. Deal?" I asked in a very calm matter. I watched Sunny thinking about the idea and before I got the answer, my alarm went off into getting the little ones up and ready to be taken home. I sighed inwardly at the bad timing. I stood up from my desk and walked past Sunny, our clothes brushed accidentally.
I was frustrated on what my dreams are playing at. Like thanks for fucking me around, dream. I thought whilst plastering a smile as I wake up the kids. They all looked so tired yet once they saw Sunny, they were all alive and awake but knew it was home time. I was relieved about the day being over. My eyes trailed over to Sunny and I didn't realise that I was going a bit pink in the cheeks until a kid I was holding in one arm pointed it out and then all, yes I do mean all of the kids turned their heads around and started to tease me and question who it is.
"Not sure what you mean! I feel like you all are still dreaming." I looked up at the ceiling, jokingly and trying to calm my face down. "Come on! Let's go take you back to your parents!" I eagerly said, ushering the young ones carefully to their stuff to grab and take them over to all of their parents.
Whilst I tried to avoid making conversation with all parents. It didn't work. Trust me when I say I tried. The amount of reassurance I had to give that none of them were in danger and that the ones with allergies were made sure that they didn't have it. And that I am in my early to mid 20s. I swear my eyes were twitching. Luckily once they have all left. I went back to my desk to finish up a few things and helped up in clearing the place before the night guard showed up.
"Y/N? The deal you wanted to make with me and moony.. you weren't lying were you?" Sunny's voice piped up as we were cleaning up together. I looked over and gave a small smile, "No I wasn't lying. I really wanted to know." I gave an answer. I was being truthful.
"The only way to explain your question about splitting into two different people is to show you but only you." Sunny answers, basically agreeing to my deal. Which I sighed with relief. Finally. I can put my dreams at ease. I smiled at that thought.
