In the Middle..

Sunny's POV:

Watching my brother and Y/N going at each other's throats, heightened my nervousness. I can understand why Y/N doesn't want to stay but even she knew that it was too late. I twiddled my thumbs together, waiting for those two to stop. In the end, it did with Y/N telling me that I'm sleeping in the middle. I was surprised by that demand. My insides were tingling with delight. Why?

"Sure! We can all tell not really scary stories!" I beamed with happiness although it wasn't going to happen. Not with this amount of thick angry air around. I sighed in my head. I didn't even notice that Y/N disappeared. Assuming she's gone to get changed. "Y/N is getting on my nerves." Moony started to complain but I stopped him there.

"No Moony. You were trying to upset Y/N again. I saw that stunt you tried to pull. Why would you do that?" I asked Moony, trying to understand his thoughts. But the next lines that came out of his mouth made my jaw swinging in the air.

"I like her getting angry. Thought it was cute. Even you cannot deny that her stubbornness and getting angry is cute."

I shook my head and blocked my ears, "Nope. Nope. Not listening! We've only seen her twice. We cannot fall in love with a colleague! That's rule breaking! Rule breaker! Rule breaker!" I had a faint pink on my cheeks because Moony was right but the fact that he can say that bluntly is stupid.

"Why are you speaking so loudly? It's almost sounding like you're shouting, Sunny." Y/N popped out of nowhere and I jumped into Moony's arms out of scare. Moony gave me the 'what-the-fuck' look and dropped me. I gave a small chuckle of fear, "No reason! Just Moony being Moony and trying to annoy me." I lied.

I lied.

I smacked my hands to my mouth and looked over at Moony and he raised his eyebrows at me. He knows I'm not usually a liar and doesn't like holding secrets. But this. This is the first time. Y/N stared at me as if I've lost the plot. I had to think of something. And fast. "It's time to sleep! Come on! Moony you'll be on my right and Y/N will be on my left. Then let's tell each other stories!" I was still slightly pink in the cheeks and I was hoping so hard that Y/N won't notice a thing.

Luckily, she wasn't paying attention to much except that I'm acting strange. Good.. I smiled excitedly and jumped into the bed that was meant to fit all three of us in. And like so, the other two slid in beside me. Moony decided to face away from both of us. I feel like he's grumpy because I have Y/N all to myself. I wonder if he also has feelings for Y/N.. I wouldn't be surprised but how will it all work? I stared into space with deep thought.

That is until I get nudged by Y/N. I looked at her with my golden eyes and I smiled widely. "Are you alright, sunshine?" I asked, adding the same nickname I gave when I first saw her. I wasn't paying attention to what I said until Y/N hesitated in what she was about to say. I face planted the pillow and told myself off for saying a nickname. It just rolled off my tongue so smoothly like the first time. Oh no..

I had Moony to my side just laughing as he knew what just happened. I can almost guess that he's going to tease the stars out of me. I feel like I should have a default error because of what I said and that I lied. But it's not going off in my head or anything. I was confused. I get up into a sitting position and looked to both of my sides. Moony and Y/N won't even look at each other.

"Wake up. I'm not a fan of this angered air. Apologise to each other and hug it out." I complained. And with that I got zero response out of either of them. I don't mind being in the middle but not in the middle of two people fighting. I sighed quietly and just laid down, facing up at the ceiling as I knew my system went into sleep mode.

When 5am came around, my system got booted into waking up but something was wrong. Everything was feeling so glitchy. I thought nothing of it. In fact I shrugged it off and went down into the main part of the daycare, getting everything ready for the whole day. The same old same old. I was like my old self? My peripheral vision was fine but.. I wasn't so sure.

I waited for Moony and Y/N to get up. I needed to talk to Moony for certain.

I know.. not an amazing amount of words but trust me I'm working on something big for this story! Speaking of which.. Almost 1000 views already!? Wow! You lot surprised me! I thought this wasn't going to be able to get anyone's attention, I guess patience and continuation with chapters did the charm!
