MAGNETIC

"Are we just friends if it's your breath on my neck late at night or if it's our laced fingers beneath your covers? How tightly do we need to be pressed against each other before you admit that you aren't doing this for warmth? How many times does your thumb need to brush my lips before we realise that we've gone too far?"

- Tara Love (this. This is too far)

I felt so warm and so cold at the same time.

My bed felt cold, hard and prickly, and something was holding me firmly. This thing was warm, and the air was cold. Light pried my eyes open.

Right in front of me was Garou's face.

What?

My eyes darted around and I found that we were still outdoors, laying down in the same spot as last night. How the hell are we still here?! When did I fall asleep?

The morning light was becoming brighter, and I looked at Garou; he was fast asleep and holding on to me so tightly that I couldn't budge.

My face was so close to his, that one little move and our noses could touch. Even worse, our lips. I gulped harshly; this proximity was making me shy, making my heart race, and I wanted to get out of it.

I knew he was strong, but I never realised what a death grip he has around my waist and upper body. Almost as if he doesn't want to let me go. I'm not gonna lie, I kind of like this whole hugging situation, but getting out of here was paramount.

It seemed that I had my arms around him too. Way to go, Tenrou. I pulled them to myself and brought my hand up to his face and started patting his cheek.

"Garou, wake up."

It took a lot of patting for him to groan quietly. "Five minutes," he murmured.

"No five minutes. We have to go now." I said sternly, now pulling his cheek.

He whined quietly and opened his eyes slowly. Our eyes met and he blinked.

"Why the hell are you so close to me?" he asked.

"That's because you're holding me." I narrowed my eyes at him.

"Oh, shit. Sorry." he immediately pulled his arms away and sat up.

I huffed and also sat up. All the warmth from his body drained away from mine and I shivered. "Let's get going before it gets brighter."

We descended and got on my motorcycle. As I sped down the empty roads and record speed, Garou had no choice but to hold on to me again. Nothing less than the choicest butterflies were fluttering in my stomach as I thought of all the absentminded touching we did last night.

Man, this sucks. Why, of all people, do I have to feel like this for him?

Another lovely day of hero extermination for me.

I entered the apartment, humming the tune of some new rangers anime that I heard being played downtown. Man, all the extermination put me in one hell of a good mood.
