DESPAIR
"I feel it's my anger that has helped keep me alive,"
- Audre Lorde
This guy just won't succumb!
I flapped my bat-like wings as I swooped down and attacked the weirdly strong hero with faster and more powerful punches. Anger had morphed me into a more gruesome looking monster with a bigger body, longer claws and horns, glowing eyes, and longer, sharper teeth.
"Hey, you've gotten a little better!" exclaimed the bald hero with a grin.
"You call this a little?!" I roared as I slapped him away into the side of the volcanic mountain with my hand. He sure is looking down on me.
The impact of his fall created a crater on the mountain, and I decided to make it even bigger, and perhaps burn a hole on his body big enough for him to finally fear me. I jumped on him, raising both my hands and bringing them down.
The mountain crumbled and the lava that was coming out of it bubbled and started flowing on another side. I stood where it was intact, and breathed heavily as the dust and ash flew around in the air.
Well, that should've taught him-
I received a sucker punch to my jaw that sent me flying upwards. He's still alive?! I flapped my wings to stabilize myself and rubbed my throbbing jaw as I looked at him.
This guy... The power penetrated through him and destroyed the mountain instead. I growled. He's stronger than a mountain!
I felt my chest burn hot. My body trembled. My fists clenched tight. This is so infuriating. The heat spread from my chest to my entire body, and I let out a terrific, deafening roar that echoed in the air.
THIS IS INFURIATING!
Something started to protrude out of my shoulders, and in a split-second, they emerged as arms. I became a four-armed beast, which was great, because I could pack an even bigger punch.
Which I did. I started punching at this hero in a frenzy, just wanting to deck him to the ground and make him surrender to my awesome power. If I can just make this weirdly strong guy surrender to me, I can finally make my goals a reality!
I swung at him. He dodged. I swung again. He dodged.
"Oh sweet! Where'd you learn a trick like that?" he asked gleefully as we were practically flying in the air over another mountain at this point.
I couldn't hear him. I was too busy punching and pondering. I thought back to when I was thanked by Tenrou, the kid, and those office workers. Just two words, two simple words were enough to shake my resolve! Two simple words to melt my heart!
I roared again. I will never forget this anger, not until I push humanity down the depths of despair! Not until they know the misery I've been through!
"Hey, c'mon, give it a rest already." said the hero as he easily swatted away the punches from my four hands with his one hand.
One-handed?! This guy is strong enough already; I can't imagine how much more powerful he would become if he actually adopted technique in his fighting. He'd become the real monster.
