                                                                           Millie

I go to the kitchen and start cleaning up while Maggie and Luna finish up on the floor. As I'm washing up the last of the dishes Maggie walks in.

"You alright Millie?" She gives me a sympathetic look.
That's a loaded question. I'm not sure how I went from having the best night of my life to this, all within a few hours.

"Honestly, I'm not even sure what Beckett saw when he walked in. He didn't let me look. I know whatever it was, it was bad." I have tears in my eyes threatening to spill down my face.

"I guess I will know more when I go pack up some clothes. I'm going to be staying with him for a bit."

We walk back out to the front of the shop when Luna walks up from finishing up her tasks. I have only seen her a couple times since we hired her. She has her own story, what, I'm not sure. She laces her fingers as she closes the distance between us. We all jump when a knock on the door echoes through the empty building. We turn to see Officer Hayes standing at the door.

Maggie goes to unlock it and he walks in.

"Hey ladies, it's good to see y'all, despite the circumstances." I murmur a hello in greeting while Maggie offers a smile. Luna walks up to him and starts chatting quietly. I am almost positive Luna has a thing for him, according to Maggie. She has spent more time with her than I have.

Maggie interrupts their conversation, "Luna you can go whenever you're ready, you don't have to wait around, who knows how long it will be. We aren't going to reopen today and I think we will close up shop for a few days. I will call you when we have a game plan."

She nods her head in understanding. "I'm just going to grab my stuff."

After rounding the counter to collect her things she gives us both a quick hug before heading to the door. Officer Hayes stops her before she can open the door.

"Let me walk you to your car honey." I don't like the idea of you walking out alone with everything going on."

She blushes as she follows him out the door.

"I bet you he likes her too but is afraid to admit it because he thinks he is too old for her." Maggie says in awe. She has always been a hopeless romantic. We sit down and wait for the men to get done upstairs. Officer Hayes has made his way back inside and upstairs so hopefully between the four of them they can move more quickly.

"You don't have to wait on me. You should go enjoy the rest of your day off."

"No way! You know I wouldn't leave you here alone, besides your hunky man said you had to stay with me." She laughs to lighten the mood. I don't get a chance to argue before I hear footsteps coming down the stairs. I stand up when I see the men coming through the door. Walking up to me Beckett wraps his arms around my body.
"Sweetheart, your apartment is trashed. We got everything we could get for evidence but I just want you to know what to expect."

Lowering my head I let out a breath I didn't realize I was holding.
"Let's get this over with so we can get out of here. Tyson, can you make sure Maggie gets to her car?" I give her a hug and assure her we will talk later. Beckett grabs my hand to stop me from walking past him.

"There's one more thing you should know. There were some pictures of us from last night when we were outside scattered across your coffee table. The pictures are taken from afar but you can make us out." He grimaces.

Heat engulfs my face and I chance a glance at my dad.

"Oh my god, this is so fucking embarrassing. Please tell me no one but you have seen the pictures?" I plead.

My dad cuts in, "no we didn't. Beckett made sure he dealt with that. I'm sorry baby girl. Judging by the damage we do suspect Brodie was behind this. However, we just have to wait for the fingerprints."

With a quick good-bye he walks out the door leaving me and Beckett to head to my apartment.

Walking in I suck in a breath and let the tears I've been trying to hold fall.

The words, whore, slut, tease, and bitch are spray painted in red on my usually white walls.

Holding me tight Beckett says, "your bedroom is bad baby. Just keep that in mind." With a gentle squeeze to my hip he leads me to my room.

I gasp as soon as I see the shredded bedding and pillows. Holes in my wall, furniture tipped over. Walking in the bathroom and it seems to be the only place not touched.

"I can't believe he would do this. I thought he was lying low since we haven't gotten anything resolved yet." I wipe the tears from my face and start gathering some things to pack.

"Beckett helps me get as much as I can pack in the three duffle bags I own.

The ride back to his house is done in silence. I don't think there is anything that can be said at this point. I can see him from the corner of my eye, sneaking glances at me. I appreciate the fact that he lets me process things on my own without expecting me to talk it out with him. I will share anything he wants me too but sometimes it's easier for me to think some things through alone.

He opens the door for me and helps me down. He doesn't say anything, he just simply wraps his arms around me and holds me close. Breathing him in and the warmth of his arms have me relaxing for the first time since we went back to my place. It's been a few hours since then and all I want to do is take a nap and forget about the mess for a while.

All too soon he releases me and opens the back door of his truck to grab my bags. I go to help and he tells me he has it. I follow him into the house and we head straight up the stairs. He sits my stuff in front of his dresser.

"Let's take a nap and when we get up I'll make some space for you so you won't have to live with your stuff in bags."

Nodding my head in agreement I strip out of last night's dress and he instantly covers my naked body with the shirt he removed from his chest.

We crawl into bed and hold each other. The only noise in the room is the sound of our breathing.
