Meyuki, Mihi, Tinku, and I ran to our science class, even though we weren't anywhere near being late, we didn't want to take any chances. We just finished ELA, and the classroom was almost across the school! We had to take some short cuts down some hallways, and we finally arrived at our class! We got there first for once, and we all sat down next to each other, and we started studying for the Math Quiz we'd have later in the day.
"Oh! Hello dears, you're here earlier than me!" Said the teacher, "I don't know if you guys know what to call me, do you?" She asked.
"No we don't, however, if you tell us what we need to call you, I'm sure we'll remember!" Reassured Meyuki.
"Thank you dear, but I'll tell the whole class today, so that won't be a problem." Replied the teacher.
"She's so nice! All my old teachers were really mean, I hope that whoever runs the Media Center is as sweet as her!" I whisper.
"I'm pretty sure that she runs the Media Center, but if she doesn't, then I agree." Mihi replied.
"Hey losers! OH! Teacher, hehe... didn't see you there! I swear I wasn't going to bully them. Don't throw me in detention this time! In fact, you can't! My father is mayor of this town, and I'll have him fire you!" Cackled Carla,
"Dear, my husband is the mayor. And you're not my child." Replied the teacher calmly. Carla just stood there, stunned. Then, the rest of the class flooded into the room, whispering,
"Carla lied? To the teacher?!" I just chuckled. Our teacher has proved that Carla is a liar.
"I think that our teacher handled the situation perfectly." Whispered Tinku. I nodded, and we all started giggling. The teacher sent Carla to the principal's office, and she began teaching us about rocks and minerals.
"Oh yes, my name is Mrs. Matilda! But you can all call me Mrs. M," said Mrs. Matilda. We now know her name.
