Chapter 12 - The Haunted Mansion

Okay so, my mum is going to take me and my friends to a Halloween Fair in midtown London, and I'm so excited! I can't wait to show off my costume as a ghost!

"Minx! Make sure you get your costume on before we head out, I want to take pictures!" Called my mum.

"Ok mum! I'll radio the others!" I replied. Oh yeah, Meyuki's father gave us all these walkie-talkies, yeah, weird names, but apparently they're some sort of new technology. They allowed for me and my friends to communicate with each other, no matter the distance! I'm constantly talking to one of them whenever they're on the same channel.

"Hello, this is Fire Starter, do you copy? Over." I asked into the radio, on channel 3.

"This is Morning Star, I copy. Over." Replied Meyuki, we all have these kinds of code names, like, I'm Fire Starter, Meyuki is Morning Star, Tinku is Daemos, and Mihi is Spin. I don't know why Mihi wants their code name to be Spin, but I respect their choices.

"I copy! This is Daemos. Over." Replied Tinku, she must've just woken up, because her voice was a bit messed up.

"I copy as well! This is Spin, over!" Mihi responded, they sounded out of breath, but I was pretty sure they just finished practicing for Volleyball tryouts.

"Good, everybody's on the right channel, anyways, get your costumes on! We're going to the Halloween Fair in midtown London! Over!" I told the others, I think that they were really excited, because they immediately got off the channel, and then all of a sudden, they all said at once, "I'm ready!" This is going to be a really fun night, we're going to go through a corn maze, a haunted house, and then we will get some food at one of the many restaurants in midtown London.

When me and my mum picked my friends up, Tinku was dressed up as a demon, Meyuki was dressed up as a Dryad, Mihi was dressed up as their zodiac sign, so they were dressed up as an Aquarius.

When we got to the fair, the streets were overflowing. Okay, overflowing is a bit of an exaggeration, but it was sort of true. It was kinda like America's DisneyLand or DisneyWorld. The streets were only a little overcrowded. I just hoped that the streets wouldn't get too crowded.

"Okay, where do you guys want to go? There's a corn maze, a haunted mansion, and there's a 'haunted' ferris wheel!" Said my mum, she was looking at the map.

"I kinda want to go through the haunted mansion," Requested Mihi, we all nodded in agreement, even Mr. Emily and Mr. Afton agreed!

We got to the haunted mansion, and we entered. We had to go in groups of 4, so Meyuki, Tinku, Mihi, and I went into the haunted mansion. Our parents went in with each other, and I remembered that Mrs. Yoshitoga had tagged along as well.

"Hey Meyuki, how come we've never met your mum?" I asked, "Oh, um, she got in a car crash around 5 years ago, you've never met her because we've only been friends for like 4.5 years," Replied Meyuki.

"Oh, thanks for telling me. I was wondering why Mr. Emily keeps looking at my mum like he likes her." I said. We all started giggling, after all, Mr. Emily and my mum are very good friends. I wouldn't be surprised if they end up dating.

"Hey Tinku, do you like anyone?" Asked Mihi, it seemed like they knew something about Tinku that no one else knows.

"Uh, yeah actually, I do," Replied Tinku. I know for a fact that there's some sort of tea going on. I noticed Mihi fiddling with their crystal necklace, it was a gift from her biological mother before she died in a building collapse.

We got through the haunted mansion without getting scared much, and Mihi had picked up a black cat and claimed that they were keeping her. They named her Void, I personally think it's a great name.
