Chapter Nine

The next day, I was jolted from the bed as I sat down. Kinurap ko ang mga mata ko at tinignan ang tabi ko. But Sharpay was not there. Humiga ulit ako sa bed at nag-inat. Ang sarap mag stretch as in. Masasakit ang mga binti ko katatakbo kagabi.

Habang nagiinat ako biglang bumukas ang pinto kaya agad kong tinignan kung sino ang pumasok.

"Sharpay!"

"Gising ka na pala. Maligo ka na may meeting tayo. Inutusan ako na gisingin ka."

"Ngayon agad? Ang aga naman.. tinanggal na nga ako sa trabaho bakit isasali pa ako dyan."

"Ganon talaga, nasimulan na natin ang mission na to kaya wala nang atrasan."

Napa'ismid ako saka bumangon para magtungo sa banyo at maligo. I rushed through the shower and brushing my teeth. After ko magshower, binalot ko ang katawan ko ng towel saka lumabas ng banyo. Sharpay was still sitting on the bed, flipping through a magazine.

Kinuha ko yung new uniform ng facility, dahil since na dumating kami dito yun na ang naging damit namin dahil wala naman kaming mga baon na damit. Tinanggal ko yung towel sa katawan ko saka ko sinuot yung underwear ko at dahil nagmamadali ako, lumapit ako kay Sharpay para magpatulong mag-hook ng bra ko.

"Sharpay, help me to hook my brassière."

Napaangat ang tingin nya at halatang nagulat sya. Napatingin sya sa katawan ko from my breast down to my toes. Napangisi tuloy ako saka ko sya tinawag ulit. She quickly shifted her attention back to my face.

"I said, can you help me hook this?" I repeated, raising an eyebrow.

Tumango naman sya saka tumayo at pinatalikod ako. I felt her fingers working at the hook of my bra, and when she said "Done," I thanked her.  Sharpay remained silent, walking towards the door without a word before stepping out.

I shrugged my shoulder at pinag-sawalang bahala nalang ang action nya. Pagkatapos ko magbihis nagtungo na ako sa office ni Sergeant Candy. The meeting was commenced.

"You're late," Jade said, her voice sharp.  I rolled my eyes, already sensing her annoyance.

"This is the information what we got." He began.

Sergeant Candy and Jade explained that we didn't need to break into the vault after all. Apparently, they'd discovered a foreign delegation was visiting the embassy in two days for a major event, and the stolen key would be exchanged there.

"The rogue agent, uhm, Agent Moonraker's ex will be disguised as a journalist. She'll be secretly handling the key over to this undercover foreign..."

"Whoa! Hold on, Sergeant Candy.  Jade's ex?  And they'll be meeting there?  Wow, that's really cheesy.  This is going to be a great reunion," I said, laughing.  Jade's face crumpled into a frown.
