Tiana

Dinner was horrible last night. Michael convinced me to talk with my parents to see if we could come to a common ground but it went to shit. My mother feels like they've done nothing wrong and it's quite annoying. Afterwards, we came to some type of resolution but if it hadn't been for my father, I would of never spoken to them again.

I'm not mad at Michael for wanting to help me with this. He's been an amazing friend but I can't keep stringing him along like this. My publicist, Phoebe, has been on my ass about doing appearances with him but I'm too busy to do anything. I'm already preparing to leave out of state for the next two months, I just won't have any time.

I've spent a lot of time with Michael and he's phenomenal. I can admit, I only apologized to him so I could use him for career purposes but now I have feelings for him and I could see he has feelings for me. I'm not sure how this will work out. I believe these months away from him will snap me back into reality especially since I created this plan in the first place.

"We leave in two days, are you packed and ready?" Gabby says as she walks into the office with her clipboard in one hand and a pen in the other.

"Almost." I said and she frowned.

"Come on Tiana, you were supposed to be all packed up." She says.

"I know and I will get to it after this."

I had a meeting with some editors about a magazine cover I did awhile back. I was gracing the cover and it's soon to be released by next week and I couldn't be more happy about that. The editors were basically giving me a sneak speak at the cover.

"Oh and by the way, your sister called." Gabby says. I couldn't possibly imagine what my sister wanted. I've already had a sit down with my parents so I assume they've told her all about it.

"Well, what did you tell her?" I said as I crossed my arms.

"I just told her you were busy and you'd call her back once your schedule is clear." She said. "But she didn't like that one bit."

"I don't care what she likes or doesn't like. I'll get to her eventually."

"What did your sister do anyway?" Gabby asks.

"She was more cocky than I am. Could you imagine having to deal with someone like that?" I asked and Gabby turned away. "You'll understand once you meet her."

After the meeting, Gabby and I went out to eat at this nice brunch place. The two of us ordered an omelette with a lemon water. While in the middle of talking, Gabby's phone started to ring. She picked it up and immediately looked at me. I gave her a questioning look and she pulled the phone away from her ear.

"It's Michael's manager, he's looking for you." She says.

"Tell him I'm busy and can't take any calls right now." I said and she repeated my words into the phone.

"Okay, I'll let her know." Gabby finishes then hangs up the phone. "Michael's been trying to get in contact with you, you know that right?"

"I'll get back to him soon. I know these two days will be extremely busy." I said and waved her off.

"I can squeeze in time for you Tiana, you know that."

"Yeah but I've turned over a new leaf remember? Work now, play later." I said then went back to my omelette. Gabby nodded then did the same. Her phone rung again and she picked it up then gasped. She hung up the phone and sat it down. I gave her a confused look and she took a sip of her water. Before I could say anything, her phone rung again.
