Hour 2

(8:00 AM EST)

After my mom dropped off Jamie at her art camp we picked up Beckett's parents and drove to our old high school which was first on our list of things to do. We wanted to give a tribute to the school since it was the main reason why we were going off to college. Also it felt right to say goodbye one last time.

When we got to the school it was empty, since it was the summer. We went around back to the courtyard, blacktop area where we used to hangout everyday.

"How are we going to pay tribute?" I asked Becket as we turned a corner and walked onto the black top.

"I don't know yet.." He pondered. "Maybe with a lyrical dance piece?" He joked. "Just kidding, I know." He smirked as we walked towards the tables.

"What?" I asked him.

"This." He said. He took his moms bag which was filled with flowers and started to plant them on the side, next to where we used to sit. I crouched down and helped him.

"What type of flowers are these?" I wondered, smelling them.

"Sweet peas." He grinned. "Just like you." He said, tapping my nose with his dirt filled hands.

"Rude." I gasped, in a joking way, taking my hand and wiping the dirt across his cheek.

"Harlyn." My mom told me sternly, giving me a don't do that look.

"Yeah, Harlyn. Listen to your mom." He sneakily looked at me. I glared back at him.

We finished planting the sweet peas and then cleaned our hands with some water from a water bottle that we brought along with us. We hopped back in our car and drove down to the local farmer's market to get some fruit.

It was really hot today so I was in desperate need of a juicy peach. We got out of our cars and headed towards all the different, cute stands. I grabbed Beckett's hand and we skipped towards the peach stand.

"Hello." The woman behind the stand pipped.

"Hi." I smiled at her. "How much for a pound?"

"Six dollars." She replied.

"Could I have a pound?" I asked.

"Sure. Is that all?"

"Yes, thank you." I said, sweetly as she began picking the pound of peaches.

"Here you go." She placed the bag in front of me.

I reached into my bag to find six dollars but Becket stopped me and said, "I got it."

"Thank you." I grinned at him, pecking him on the lips. He handed the lady six dollars and we took the peaches, skipping away, hand in hand towards our families.

"Ready for breakfast?" Beckett's mom questioned us.

"Yes, i'm so hungry!" I groaned.

"Me too." Beckett said. We walked to Brenda's since it was close to the market. When we stepped into the restaurant my body immediately cooled off.

"Ahhh.. It feels so nice." I sighed as we went up to the man in front to ask for a seat. My mom told him that we had six people and then he grabbed our menus and showed us to our table. I thought it'd be more crowded since it was the weekend and summer.

Beckett and I sat across from each other and our parents sat next to each other. The man gave us menus and then left to tend to other people. I scanned the menu, my eyes landing on blueberry muffin. "What are you getting?" I whispered to Beckett.

"I think I'm going to have the egg and bacon croissant." He replied. "You?"

"Blueberry muffin."

"How did I not guess that." We laughed. Muffins were my favorite food, but blueberry muffins were my absolute favorite. On our first date Beckett asked me what I wanted and I said a blueberry muffin even though it was dinner.

The man came back a few minutes later and took our order. After a few minutes he came back with our drinks. I got an orange juice and Beckett got water.

"So, what's next on our list?" He asked me, hands on his chin.

"Hmmm.. Let me see." I told him, rummaging through my bag for the list. "Swimming." I sang.

"Sounds good. I need to cool down." He said.

"You think you're hot?" I teased. "Please." I huffed.

He gasped, in an offended tone. "I happen to be very hot. Just wait till you see me shirtless." He smirked.

"Trust me, I've seen you shirtless and it wasn't that impressive." I shot back.

"Aw, babe, that hurt." He placed his hand on top of his heart as if it actually hurt.

"Want me to kiss it?" I said as if I was talking to a little kid.

"Yes please." He pouted his lips.

"Okay." I nodded, I headed to his seat and began going in for the kiss before the waiter brought our food and I had to go back to my seat. He placed all our food in front of us and we began digging in.

Once we finished our food we paid the bill and walked back outside into the heat. I pulled out Beckett's polaroid camera and said, "Can I get a picture with everyone in it?" Everyone gathered behind me and I faced the camera towards us and snapped a picture. I turned the camera back around to see the photo and saw that everyone was making a weird face. I bursted out laughing. My parents looked weird with peace signs up at their faces and their tongues sticking out. Everyone heard me laughing and had to see the picture, they all took a look and laughed along with me.

"Do you guys want one?" I asked our parents.

"Yes, please." They all responded so I printed out four. After they slowly printed out I handed them to everyone.

We got back in the car and drove home. Becket and I packed our bags for the lake and then waved bye to our parents.

"Off to our next adventure." He smiled at me, pecking me on the cheek before we got in his car and drove off.
