Hour 15

(9:00pm EST)

"What should we do first?" Beckett asked, as we pulled into the crowded carnival parking lot.

"Let's get cotton candy!"

"Of course." Beckett laughed, pulling into a free spot.

"Can we get the cool one that is pink and blue?" I asked, feeling my eyes brighten.

"Anything for you." He grinned, as we hopped out at the bright carnival.

I beamed at him as we payed for our tickets and entered the carnival. I immediately ran over to the cotton candy stand and shoved some money over the counter.

"I would have bought it for you." Beckett said over my shoulder as the man handed me my cotton candy.

"I'm perfectly capable to handle myself." I teased, leaning back into him.

"At least let me win you something."

"I can win myself something." I said, raising my nose in the air.

"Come on, it's our last day together, you have plenty of time to do stuff yourself." Beckett said pulling the 'it's our last day together' card.

"Fine." I groaned. "You can win me something."

"Yay!" Beckett said, tugging on my wrist and pulling me over to the dart game.

"Hit the bull's eye three times in a row and win this giant stuffed bear!" The woman running the stand said, her voice booming.

"I'd like to play." Beckett said, stepping over to her and puffing out his chest, faking masculinity.

"Two dollars for four darts." The woman said, reaching her hand out. Beckett placed the money in her hands, as I let out a breath, these games were so rigged.

Beckett threw the first dart. Miss. He threw the second one and it hit the target, just no where close to the bull's eye. The third, miss. Fourth, miss.

"I'll take another four." Beckett said, giving the woman another two dollars.

"Beck," I said. "You don't need to win me anything, I told you."

"Shush, I'm concentrating." Beckett waved a hand and I sighed again.

This went on another three rounds, before I stepped up and took the darts from his hands.

"Beckett." I said harshly, throwing one of the darts out of my hand in frustration. "This." I threw another one. "Has." The third. "To. Stop." I threw the last one. He was just looking at me, seemingly amazed.

"What?" I asked, getting peeved.

He just pointed to the target and I looked, all four darts that I had thrown out of anger had hit the bull's eye. I had won.

"This is for you, miss." The woman handed me the large bear.

"Did I just...?"

"Win?" Beckett finished for me, his mouth open.

"This is for you." I said sweetly, handing him the bear.

"How did you do that?" He asked as we walked away, him holding the bear.

"Magic." I teased.

"You are amazing, did you know that?"

"So I've heard." I grinned at him, and we paused to kiss.

"You two are nauseating." A voice said, breaking us apart.

"Hi, Elliott." Beckett said, seeming a little unhappy he interrupted us. Elliott was one of Beckett's best friends, one of the ones going with him to college.

"Have you seen Sean at the dunk tank yet?" Elliott asked.

Beckett turned to me and I laughed, answering his unspoken question. "Yes, we can go dunk Sean." Sean was Elliott and Beckett's other best friend, one who was not going with them to college.

"I'll meet you two there," Beckett said. "I have to go put my bear in the car." I laughed behind my hand at how ridiculous he sounded.

"You two seem to be doing well, considering this is your last night." Elliott asked as we walked towards the dunk tank. I always liked Elliott more than Sean, Sean was a player, and Elliott was a sweetheart.

"Yeah, all things considering." I smiled.

"Are you ready to head to college?"

"Yeah." Elliott laughed. "I'm so done with this town."

"It has its pros you have to admit." I smiled, Elliott moved from New York freshman year so it was a big adjustment for him. "Like this carnival."

"And the people aren't so bad." Elliott smiled, pointing to the dunk tank that was coming into sight, with a soaking wet Sean sitting inside.

"How did he get himself into this situation?" I laughed as a teenage boy threw a ball and dunked Sean.

"I bet his mom told him Satan would be after him if he didn't." Elliott joked, Sean's mom was very conservative and christian, she used that as an excuse to get Sean to do a whole bunch of community activities. If he didn't have such a big ego and enough confidence for everyone in the world he wouldn't survive.

"You're a guy." I said, turning to face Elliott.

"You noticed." Elliott teased.

"I mean," I laughed. "Beckett will only tell me so much, but I'm sure he tells you and Sean everything. How happy is he about this long-distance thing?"

"Beckett would walk around the world for you." Elliott said, making a smile flit over my face. "If it means he can still be with you, he is willing to take four years apart."

I smiled, and turned back to the dunk tank.

"That means a lot Elliott."

"Just sayin' the truth." He grinned.

"What's the truth?" Beckett asked, slinging his arm around my shoulder.

"Nothing." I grinned. "Did you get YOUR bear into the car?"

"I did." He grinned back, pecking my cheek. "How's Sean doing in the tank?"

"Getting soaked." Elliott laughed as another ball hit the target and Sean went under.

"Should we help with that?" Beckett asked Elliott, a wicked grin spreading over his face.

"Definitely."
