"C'mon Mingyu, we'll be quick. I just need two books for my literature class." Mingyu just sighed as he continued to drive.

"Fine fine, just stop yelling jeez. We're already at the mall." Mingyu parked his car and followed his friend inside. They reached the bookshop his friend insisted on going.

"Just take a look around ok? I won't be long." Mingyu just nodded and watched his friend walk away. He sighed and decided to look at the books as well. He likes to read but not as much as Minghao, his friend that continuously pestered him in going to this place.

Now he think about it, how could Minghao need another book? His house is almost as big as the national library filled with different books.

"Excuse me." Mingyu snapped out of his thoughts and faced the person. He was dumbfounded when he came face to face with someone with piercing eyes.

"Uhh," Mingyu wasn't sure how to react.

"I need the book you're holding." Mingyu looked at where the other person was pointing at. Sure enough, he was holding a book. However, he was confused on why he needs it.

"You need a book about grooming a cat?" The other guy just raised his eyebrow before answering.

"Is there a problem?" Mingyu just shook his head and handed him the book.

"Nope, you just don't look like a cat person at all." The guy just rolled his eyes and turned to walk away. Mingyu just watched him.

'He does look like a cat though' Mingyu internally thought.

Mingyu went back to the bookstore the next day since they were required to have a specific book on a subject. Which was what Minghao grabbed yesterday but didn't bother to tell him.

'What a great friend'

Mingyu just sighed and went on to searched for the said book. He saw a copy and went straight for it. Just as he grabbed the spine, another hand grabbed it too. Mingyu looked at the person and saw the same exact eyes from yesterday.

"Take your hand off." The other guy said in a deep voice.

"Sorry but I got to it first." Mingyu tried to take it off the shelf but the other guy pushed it back.

"I asked a clerk and he said that this is the last one. He pointed it to me so technically, it was mine first." Now the other tried to take it off but Mingyu pushed it back.

"I need it more ok? Now why don't you grab another book about cats and leave me alone." Mingyu failed to notice the glint on the other person's eyes. He almost toppled over as he felt a tingly sensation on his right waist. Before he could process what happened, the other guy took the book and went towards the cashier.

Mingyu immediately followed him with a laugh.

"Did you really just tickled me to get a book?" It was a foul move but it was funny to think about. The guy didn't answer and just paid for the book.

"You know, now that I take a good look on you, you kinda look like a cat. You also think like a cat." The other guy then faced him.

"What?" Mingyu just gave him a toothy grin and offered his hand.

"I'm Mingyu, what's your name?" The guy just stared at his hand before walking away. Mingyu just scratched his head and watched him leave.

"Don't take it against him sir." The cashier suddenly said.

"What?"

"That's Wonwoo, one of our regulars. And he's not really fond of strangers."

"Hmmm." Mingyu left the bookstore without buying anything. He could always find another way to get a copy of the book.

'Wonwoo huh, he seems interesting'
