"Whatever you thought or knew about the car incident with your grandfather was a facade from the real truth" Aliya started
"Mr Sultan wasn't responsible for your grandfather's death or the accident, he of course had no idea about the car malfunction".
" And it wasn't like they were enemies. Everyone knew about the good relationship between Mr Rheema and Mr Sultan" Yazeed said trying to reason with the gentleman
"Your grandfather treated Mr Sultan like a son more than a business partner" he added
He further explained what he told Aliya about the incident according to the guard that survived the encounter with death
"So I hope you understand that my dad has no reason to murder your grandfather" Aliya concluded after Yazeed finished his explanation
They stared at Fahad in silence waiting for him to say something; believe them or lash out at them again like the big child he acted.
He sat there in silence deep in thought pondering over what they told him
"Why should I believe you're telling me the truth and not trying to cover up for your father?" He finally ask after what felt like hours when it was only few minutes
"And why should I try to cover up for my father when he's already dead and even if he's still alive it isn't like the matter was taken to court and am trying to tell you to withdrew the accusation, so am just trying to clear the incident to reduce my enemies" she said
"How did you know about what happened when it was said everyone inside the car was dead? Fahad asked again lips tight in a straight line looking at them sceptically
"Well this guy over here was a bodyguard who was inside the car" Yazeed said gesturing to the middle height broad bodied man in plain black shirt and blue jean
"He was the Lucky one to survive and he was rescued by some hunters after he pulled himself out of the car, your grandfather didn't survive even before the car catch fire , am sorry" Yazeed added with an apologetic look crossing his face
"Yes sir,the hunters took me away to a hospital, I was barely able to move or talk" the man who with Aliya crew said
They all went silent looking at Fahad who was looking at his clenched hand with a complicated expression before he said
"I need to be alone" he stood up and left after adding "my butler will escort you out"
Not long after he left the same man that brought them in came and escorted them out. They all boarded the car and left some with frustration building up, some understanding what the guy must be going through.
Coming out to realizing it was a lie what you've known for a while is not an awesome feeling. Who knows maybe he had always wanted to take revenge
'What if he's the one behind my dad's death maybe that was why he don't wanna believe my father isn't at fault
What if he has taken his revenge... Maybe am just over thinking... But what if he's the one or what if it's Yazeed...' Aliya start to panic internally, she tried to compose herself and wipe those thoughts but she couldn't, not when her brain gears are trying to fix puzzles
'Fahad, Yazeed and Adam Samson are my suspects now
Yazeed was the closest to my dad at all time and he was the last person to leave my dad the night before he was found dead the next morning, even the police are suspecting him but there's no proof
And then Fahad who will wanna kill my dad to get revenge over his grandfather and then the sly fox who had tricked my dad into giving him something precious to him
What if he's the one who killed him to finally have what he want under his control? I really need to be extra careful all these feels like a ticking time bomb which I will fall into at any point if I act reckless ' she stopped her train of thoughts to relax her turmoiling mind which is like a Warfield, she looked through the tinted glass at the busy road with vehicles all moving to their destinations.
'Among these people there are murderers and some victims of the murdered ones ...like me here. Who knows maybe some are even on their mission to kill, some are going to be murdered today, some are looking for justice. And the Lucky ones that fate hasn't set his eyes on are just living their life...maybe happy or sad'
She sigh like for the 100th time since the sun rise to the sky that day and turn to the one driving the car Yazeed and the bodyguard on the passenger seat beside him while she and her friends at the back seat who were pressing their phones.
"Can you drive us to the nearest restaurant let's grab something before heading home cause am hungry " she said to Yazeed who only nodded without saying a word
~
A black Range Rover parked at the parking lot of an exquisite restaurant that glimmer with it shimmering blue glasses under the sunlight which encase the front of the restaurant giving it a more classical vibe.
Five people came out of the car two white ladies and one dark skinned weavy haired and one broad muscled man and a tall handsome man.
The three young women went forward entering the restaurant leaving the men behind although they were carried away so they had no idea the men stopped
"What happen?"
Yazeed ask the muscled man who stopped him
"I think am leaving now I have things to take care of" he stated with a soft scowl on his face
"Okay. You should have let Aliya know, but it's okay I'll let her know, so...you give me your contact and address so I'll get to you when the need arise
And aren't you coming back to your work?"
"Well I don't think am needed now that Boss is dead " the man said
"I will let Aliya know and then you'll hear from me and if you need anything don't hesitate to give a call"
"Thank you" he thanked Yazeed before leaving
Yazeed walked in and sat at the seat where the girls are after ordering his food
"What took you long and where's he, the guard?" Aliya asked
"Well...he was the reason I took long and he left. He needed to work out some things immediately and he said you maybe don't need him " Yazeed stated spooning his food after
"Oh. Okay,I'll see first but I don't think I need guards now"
"You think so? He eyed her sceptically
"Yeah" she answered not so surely about the decision but letting it go for now
"What do you think about Fahad's reaction?" Aliya asked them, they stopped digging their food and glanced at each other before Amanda replied
"It's justifiable"
"Yeah it's" Sofia agreed nodding her head as if to confirm it more
"You know been proved wronged probably hurt his ego, we just hope he understand it fairly" Yazeed added and they all went back to their meal almost finishing when Aliya ask again
"We have cameras outside the house and inside; was it cheeked?" She asked her forehead folding visibly irritated at just remembering it now
"Yeah it was but nothing was found" Yazeed answered
"Was it deleted?" Sofia asked her face laced with confusion on the words nothing was found
"No." Yazeed replied to her
"But how was nothing found in the camera if it wasn't deleted, how did the killer went in?" Amanda asked also confused with the stupid theory
"I will check it again" Aliya finalized.
