After checking up the systems Zyn got seated facing the screens at the middle while Reynold sat at his left side, the team leader 'David' sat at his right hand side and the rest of the team members beside them all focused on the screen and on their assigned task as Zyn leads them.
Aliya stood behind Zyn her eyes glued to the screens and her thumb on her lips rubbing it nervously while Yazeed stood next to her and Amanda and Sofia on her left side all paying attention to what the guys are doing breaking codes on the screen to access any CCTV they could find on the road.
Yazeed turn to look at Aliya as he felt the nerves emit out of her and he saw her frantically looking between the screens anxiously.
"Calm down, we gonna find out and all will be alright" he said to her his hand placed on her small back and she looked into his concern filled eyes finding some relief from their softness, his blank eyes and poker face are always soft when he look at her. She subconsciously smiled at him as she sigh letting her hand fall and she fold them on her chest as she nod at Yazeed and they turn back to the screens at display.
"I got in!" Zyn's voice brought them out of their thoughts as a display of a busy street with vehicles appears on the systems he was working on.
"I got in too" Reynold said next
"Same here" one after the other they all made it to different highways of the city that bustle around.
Aliya sucked in a breath and muttered under her breath "Now's time to focus and search" although whispered, it was still carried to the ears of those beside her and they sucked in breath nodding their head and focusing on the screen just as Aliya said it's time to focus and search.
Finding the cars at the moment isn't guaranteed as there wasn't a camera that was able to capture the highway they followed exactly after leaving the boulevard of the mansion so they just pray their lucky star will play out and they could find them on any of the footage from that day till current time to assure them the killer is still around the city seeing as months has passed,they hope they find it sooner.
The room fell into a thorough silence only their heartbeats and heavy breathing grazing their ears as nerves completely engulf their form,time passed agonisingly slowly with the vehicles driving away to their destinations but no match was found by the screener.
The abrupt sound of a phone call cut through the heavy and thick silence in the room and all attention quickly and instictly search for the source as Aliya fished out her phone from the back pocket of her Jean and look at the screen. Fahad flashed on the screen as the caller and Aliya curiously answered the button call while the others went back to the screen with only the girls beside her paying attention in curiosity.
"Hey adorable beast" Aliya called out to the other side of the phone with a smile on her face intriguing the people in the room, who's the reason Aliya is smiling and even got a pet name from her,that person must be lucky, they thought seeing as Aliya hardly smile.
"Hi Liy" a raspy voice answered from the other side which belonged to no one but Aliya's adorable beast- Fahad.
"Huwn! A nickname?" She asked teasingly and he laughed saying yes.
"You gave me one so it's only fair if I give you but I'll look for others not just one" he answered her grinning mischievously like he did something that only take a genius to.
Aliya only shook her head amusingly at his childish tactics, she has no idea why Fahad makes her feel bubbled up with strands of joy.
"That aside, tell me why the early call?" She asked trying to satisfy her curious mind.
"Can't I call to hear your voice?" He asked teasingly wiggling his brows which couldn't be seen by Aliya to which she raised her brows in question and amusement although she too couldn't be seen by him.
"Ok,ok I call to ask if you wanna be around when am meeting those two guys I told you about" he finally answered her earlier question when he received no response from Aliya.
"Oh! That guy you knew who worked for Adam and the one you'll send?" She asked to confirmed what he actually told her last night.
"Yes them two, they will soon be here, maybe later actually so...if you wanna come then..." he trailed off not knowing what to add and wanting Aliya to say something and interrupt him to which she did when she realised his growing nerves.
"Ok I'll be there, your home? Cause it should be more in a secretive place to avoid eyes" she said adding another level of curiosity to the people in the room as they wonder who's it and what's Aliya talking about?.
"Yes it's here...then I'll be waiting..your arrival " he answered growing out of words although the conversation has come to an end and he'll be seeing her in a short time he couldn't help but feel his heart beat spike and his tongue fold in his mouth.
"Sure" she said curtly unaware of his turmoiling mind and cut off the call to face the question marks staring at her instead of human faces.
"It's Fahad, and...am going now you guys can stay here..."
"We're coming with you" Amanda cut her in before she could finish her sentence making Aliya turn to Yazeed who stare back at her with a question brow lifted.
"Have you forgotten am suppose to be next to you the next time you meet him?" He asked her and she rolled her eyes before facing Zyn and the rest of the team.
"I trust you guys on this, I'll be back but if you got any lead please let me know immediately " she said to which Zyn agreed with the rest and she beckoned her crew to leave.
They all packed in Aliya's black Range Rover and she drove them off to the mansion of the Ancient demon which was their first impression of Fahad's mansion.
"So...why are we going there?" Yazeed asked from the passenger seat where he's seated as Aliya drive the car while Amanda and Sofia sat at the back seat. They perked up their ears in attention from Yazeed's question as they also wanna know the reason they're going to the Rheema's mansion.
"You know, last night he called when I was going to bed to know if everything was okay since I left the restaurant in a hurry " she started and they nodded although confused as to why he will be bothered and care.
"How did he even have your contact?" Sofia asked intrigued or confused as to how her expression painted.
"Don't be dumb and dense Sofia, of course we exchanged it in the restaurant we met" Sofia glared at Aliya's back as if stabbing her with her eyes to which Aliya doesn't care as she didn't know and continued her explanation.
"So we talked and I...told him everything which I told you" she said looking at Yazeed and back to the road.
"Wait a second young woman!, you mean you told him all the truth about the company and all the assets?" Amanda's confused and sharped voice cut off Aliya with the question waiting for confirmation, her eyes laced with annoyance and worry at Aliya's stupidity and dumbness she believed. How can Aliya just easily trust anyone with this confidential information.
"How can you just do that?, what if he uses it against you?, what if he still wanna get revenge?" She shouted angrily shocked that Aliya's trust can go this far.
"Yeah Aliya how can you easily trust anyone " Sofia also joined worriedly
"Com'n girls it's not just anyone, it's Fahad Rheema, my adorable beast I have a feeling he will never betray me" she said with a smile laced on her lip as she shrugged nonchalantly as if she has no care in the world or what her trust and soft heart could cause her, unknown to her not everyone is as pure as they appear to be.
