Belle and bree stood outside of the locker room as they stood watching the interns

"Just look at them. They're so... fresh and shiny. Laughing, talking." Bree said as belle nodded

"It's pathetic." Belle said

"They're pathetic." Bree said

" I can't believe we used to be them." Belle said

"Oh we were never them I'm an Avery and your a Montgomery we don't need to say more" bree said as Belle looked to her and smirked

"Cocky as ever aren't we. I can tell that you have sex with mark sloan" Belle said as beee chuckled

"What's going on with you. You haven't been yourself lately" beee asked as Belle smiled

She knew that she felt down ever since she and Jackson had stopped sleeping together. She missed him and what they had and she knew it wasn't easy.

"I'm okay life hasn't been easy" Belle said. She knew that she hated how she had reacted with the pregnancy scare as Jackson mentioned getting married. She knew they she'd be lucky to marry him but she knew that she freaked out as part of her felt as if she wasn't good enough for him

"Rounds are in five minutes, freaks." Bree said pulling Belle out of her trail of thought

Belle stood on the nicu and looked to see the interns as they walked in and glared

"You're late. I hate late. Who's presenting?" Belle asked

" I guess I am. Samantha Morgan, 3 months old. Born with idiopathic neonatal cardiomyopathy. She's currently status 1b on the heart transplant list" leah said as belle glared at the intern

"What did I miss? Is there any update on a heart?"

" I know how hard it is to just sit here and wait. But sometimes that's all we can do until a heart becomes available." Belle said

"77 days. That's how long she's been on the list already. But who's counting, right?" The mom said as belle smiled

"She'll get a heart. I know she will."

"The good news is, your daughter's stable for now." Belle said

"Oh. Oh, no, she's not... "

"He isn't..."

" I'm not, um ... Laura and I met here. Our kids were born about a week apart. My son Rhys is right over there. We're both doing all of this alone. It helps to have a second set of ears to hear all the medical jargon." He said as she nodded

"My turn next?" Stephanie asked as Belle nodded

"Yes."

"Rhys Rutstein, status 2 on the heart transplant list, born with a single-ventricle defect. Post-op from receiving a central shunt and recovering very well."

"It's possible you might be able to take Rhys home some time next week." Belle said as the father looked shocked

"Home? Next week?" He asked
