The most sickening thing Billie discovered about living in the house with Kayden and a large mass of women was the table conversations. Apparently, they took turns every night to sleep with Kayden. They had a color-coded roster and everything. So at the table, they would discuss turns and alterations made to the roster because so-and-so was sick and could not use up her turn.

Billie looked across at Lula, who was luckily obliviously munching her dinner down like there was no tomorrow. In her defense, there might not be for her if Billie did not act fast.

It would be tonight, she decided. Lula had only two days left here before they moved her and Billie would be absolutely foolish to wait until the very last minute. There was no room for failure. She had gotten out of way tougher situations with tighter security. The problem? She hadn't the clue just how strict security was here. Not knowing what she was facing was way worse than facing a hundred guards that you knew existed.

She took a bite of the crab tostadas prepared by the significantly young Mexican cheff in a cute little ( putting emphasis on little) chef uniform. All the energy she could get, Billie ensured to put it under her disposal. Which meant eating when food was available. Otherwise, her appetite was under a massive strain.

Oddly unconsciously, Billie's thoughts wandered off to Kai. If he knew that she was gone yet or if he cared all that much. After all, she knew very well that he had too much to do this week. The tournament would go on for at least two weeks, the new mall that he was preparing to start building and on top of that, the Storm Stallions project where they planned to put minor alterations to the Storms' horse racing park in order to make it as five-star as every other Luna International outlet.

To be more concise, his plate was full. Perhaps too full to be chasing after her. Would he know that it was Adan's doing? Billie remembered with utmost precision that Kai had told him that if anything happened to her, even if it didn't remotely point towards Adan, he would put his father at fault. However, Adan had quite effortlessly covered his tracks. He had a completely believeable alibi. They were in South Africa and he was back in LA. He must have a really good explanation as to what he would have been doing while Billie was being man-handled and thrown into a dingy van, too.

Adan was Kai's family-Billie took this into consideration as well. Given, taking Adan's testimony into account was never optional, especially in her case, but there might be truth behind his manipulation. Kai was raised by Adan after all, who would surely bring his son up as a family oriented man. Defying his father in the name of some girl didn't sound too much like something he would do, now that she knew him well enough to conclude this.

As she was thinking this, Billie drifted her eyes to Lula. She saw movement, but her brain was so far gone from the present life that she was looking at Lula but not quite seeing what Lula was doing. Which she should have because there was a gasp coming from a few seats next to her.

Billie shot her gaze towards a girl sitting across from Lula, about three chairs away from Billie. Everyone drew their gaze to her. Including Kayden, with a deep frown.

"Anything the matter, mammì?"

Billie noticed Lula shift in her seat, her eyes facing her lap. The behavior was unlike her, even in her numbed state.

"She has a metal utensil," the raven head pointed at Lula.

Everyone gasped, as if it was not the most standard dining tool acceptable in society. Kayden lifted from his seat awfully fast, going up to Lula and roughly grasping her wrist. Billie lifted as well at that very moment.
