Billie's wide eyes met Kai's. Slowly, she shook her head at what he'd just said. Her face was red, she was well aware of this. She couldn't control that. At this moment, she barely cared.
"I can't do that."
"Sure you can," he grinned at her in an easygoing manner. "Like you said, I can't be certain of what you want if you don't tell me yourself."
She scowled at him. Billie knew that she couldn't admit to him that he might be a little right. As the saying goes, actions speak louder than words. Words lie far more stealthily than actions ever could. But how could she tell him that if it meant her pride would have to take the burn? His ego, so far as they met, has taken no loss so far and it made her chafe.
"You're an asswhole," she sneered. He didn't reply. But his fingers shifted in her underwear and brushed against her, making her gasp in equal shock and pleasure.
"Oops."
It was clear from the way he said it that it was not a mistake. Kai Rivera was taunting her. On his lap with his fingers inside her underwear, she was at his mercy. And now she had to suck up her pride and try to prove a point that she argued as an attempt to keep him from thinking she wanted anything close to a relationship with him. She really did, but for his sake, she couldn't. Not when it would break his heart in the end. And certainly not after the conversation she had earlier with Rusty.
With that in mind, she sucked in a breath, along with her pride before she said, "Take it off."
He did as was told. For some reason, it was an alluring sight, to watch Kai oblige to her instructions. Usually, he would be the one giving orders and she would take them. Her underwear landed next to her shorts. His one hand on her thigh while the other arm wrapped around her waist. She was now butt naked on Kai Rivera's lap, save for the camisole she kept on. He kept his hands in place, really waiting for her instructions.
"Your call," he said when she fell silent for a long time. There was no turning back now. Her clothes were off. Her skin was burning. Her blood boiled beneath its surface. She didn't just want him to do something, she needed it, or so help her she could die of neglect.
"Move," she commanded.
"Move what?"
"God, your hands, Kai, what else?" Kai chuckled at her desperation.
He did as he was told, gently running his hands up and down her thighs, lifting to her hips, up to her belly, her clothed chest and then back down. His hands were warm, they always are. His movements were deliberately slow, feeling her skin like he was ready to sink into it and reside there for an eternity.
Billie lost track of her breaths as his hands glided across her body. His long breaths tickled her neck, setting her ablaze, enhancing her libido. His hands ran up her chest. Her teeth sunk into her bottom lip as she arched to beckon him where she wanted him. Where they both knew she did.
She breathed, "Hold on." He stopped. His exhales tickled her neck, coming in long and warm, like the California breeze on a summer afternoon.
Billie took three breaths in and out before she muttered, "Squeeze a little." She sighed when he followed the command. Heat shot through her entire body. Her breathing came unsteady. She was breathless when she said, "Harder." He hummed loudly against her ear while he added more pressure, making her arch into him like a starved fiend. "Again." Shame was slowly starting to lose its vice on her. Quite easily, she was forgetting its meaning. And pride? Did that exist to begin with? She was uncertain. "Until I say stop."
Kai massaged her chest leisurely, slowly, like it was his life's purpose. Her panting slowly faded into little whimpers, legs crossing to placate the heat forming between them. Moisture started to dot her forehead. The heat of Kai's breath against her neck erupted tingles on her skin. Speaking became difficult. A forgotten liability. Words, they were too hard to form. So she didn't say anything. No sound came from her but the small whimpers she couldn't control. Her hand sunk into his hair, pulling his head down to her neck.
