"Thank you for coming! Please come back tomorrow." Y/n said while bowing politely to the drunken customer with a smile on her face as the sense of relief lifted her cheeks to the max.

Her co-waitress who had a bit of an attitude from overloading tension walked to Y/n's side while her eyes were glued to that same customer. She questioned, "You seriously want that freak to come back? You were scratched on the face and almost had a permanent scar this afternoon, L/n."

Y/n turned to face her now dropping the faint smile she once had and then answered, "Pain isn't going to stick with me for the rest of my life. It just eases day by day the more I fight over it."

"You think you're some kinda cat? You only have one life to live. Remember that!" she uttered before sighing and leaving Y/n behind. "You better get some rest now. The sun's already up."

"You got it, madam." Y/n responded with an exhausted cheerful tone as she watched her co-waitress walk to the backdoor. She then removed her tight hair tie and massaged her scalp for a bit.

' What time is it exactly? I've been missing it for a while now. I should exit the bar already. '

Once she grabbed her backpack, Y/n bolted outside her workplace and headed to the nearest train station. It took a long walk however, Y/n wasn't too concerned about it since she had gotten used to it. Plus, she had a stress-relieving encounter with a young boy.

As she was about to enter a convenience store before heading to the usual train station, Y/n paused her feet and glued her eyes to the young boy purchasing a tiny pot with a beautiful vibrant flower. She slowly approached him and asked, "Are you going to give that to someone special?"

The melancholic-looking boy simply nodded his head. Y/n released a small chuckle before searching inside her pocket and handing him the payment. She reached for the boy's open palm and placed a few yen, saying, "Here. I'll pay for it. Have a good day!"

Right after that incident, Y/n went ahead and entered the store to buy her favorite cup noodle. On the other end, the young boy was left speechless as he didn't know how to properly react to the suddenness of the woman's actions. He could only utter a quiet "Thank you." once she had completely gone inside.

Y/n enjoyed her cup noodle inside the convenience store and went straight to her apartment building, catching the scheduled train before it could leave her behind.

' I'm right on time again! I'll just sit somewhere by the door, so I can fall asleep peacefully. '

She thought in her isolated mind as she sat down on one of the few unoccupied seats in the jammed train car. As soon as she relaxed her back on the interior wall of the train, her eyes began to feel drowsy, continuously blinking in slow motion. Before she could realize it, she had already fallen asleep.
