The Gilbert family had been summoned to the station to answer a few questions on Vicki's disappearance. Sheriff Forbes was questioning them individually. Jenna had been in with Jeremy since he was fifteen and legally had to go with a guardian, but the twins chose to go inside on their own since they were given an option. Elena went first, then Jeremy, and then it was Lexa's turn. Matt and Stefan were also being interviewed.

"Hey Alexa. I haven't seen you in a while. How have you been?" Liz asked her with a smile. With Lexa and Caroline practically joined at the hip, Liz had pretty much helped raise Lexa.

"I'm good Mama Liz. I'll try and pop in here to see you more. I'm sorry your workload is increasing" Lexa said before giving the Sheriff a quick hug. They separated and sat across from each other.

"I'd love that. Now, please answer these questions as precisely as you can" Liz told her before setting up a tape recorder. When the light started flashing, Liz began her questions. "Where did Vicki say she was going?"

"I don't know. Jeremy was trying to help Vicki after a particularly rough patch. She messaged him to say that she was leaving town"

"Did she tell her brother where she was going?"

"I don't know. I only heard from Jer. Matt's been a bit busy with her recent escapades that I haven't been able to talk to him much"

"Is there anyone I can talk to that may know what happened to her prior to her leaving town?"

"Stefan Salvatore. Elena asked him to keep an eye on her. Don't know why though"

"So, he got involved because Elena asked him to?" Liz was really confused by this.

"Apparently. They are dating. I think... She probably thought Jeremy was dating Vic. It's too confusing to think about to be honest" Lexa tried to explain as simply as possible. However, the whole thing still confused her. With Elena's constant mood swings, she never knew if Stefan was her boyfriend or not.

Liz shook her head. Elena was always the more controlling of the siblings. She'd never say it out loud, but she much preferred Lexa. She was there for Caroline when Liz couldn't be, due to her job.

"What was her behavior like those last few days before she left?"

"All over the place. I thought she was getting better after the Founder's party. I don't know what happened"

"Any signs of aggression or violence?"

"God no. I think she was strung out on something, but it seemed like she was trying to reach out for help"

"So, you believe Vicki really has left town?"

"I do. She knew that being here wouldn't help. Getting out of this town was probably the best thing for her"

Liz sighed heavily and turned the tape recorder off. "Thanks Alexa. That's all we need to know for now"

"You're welcome, Mama Liz. Get some rest soon. You look tired" Lexa told her gently. Liz nodded and waved her away.

Lexa met her aunt and brother outside Liz's office. Elena was sat a little away from them, looking at her phone. They walked out together, whilst Elena walked ahead. Stefan stood slightly ahead of them in the parking lot.

"I'll meet you guys at the car" Elena told them all when she saw Stefan hovering.

None of them put up a fight and just walked on. Lexa raced Jeremy to the car to get the front seat. Jenna laughed at their antics. She laughed even harder when Lexa won, and Jeremy threw a mini tantrum. When they finally left, Jeremy was still pouting and Lexa would turn to him to stick her tongue out. Elena rolled her eyes at the pair, but Jenna just smiled. Jeremy was finally getting better, and she believed it was because of Lexa.
