In a rare moment of calm, Caroline had managed to get the twins in the same place and vaguely getting along. Of course, it was at school. Elena was less likely to be snarky to her sister in a public place, especially surrounded by people they'd grown up with. The three girls were heading into school, talking about their missing friend who'd had a tough time last night.
"Have you talked to Bonnie?" Elena asked them both.
"No, not since last night. She seemed really shaken after her interaction with Tiki. That was messed up" Caroline said. Lexa nodded in agreement.
"Yeah. Who tries that kind of thing?" Lexa added with a shake of her head.
"What's the deal with the necklace anyway?" Elena asked intrigued.
"I found it lying around. Thought it would look good with Bonnie's Hallowe'en costume. I never wanted this to happen" Caroline told Elena. Lexa rubbed her arm comfortingly. "Anyways, where's Stefan?"
"He's avoiding me" Elena told them.
"Why?" Lexa said concerned. Elena may not be the best sister, but she still worried about her sometimes.
Elena tensed at the question and hesitated. "It's complicated" she says as the bell rings. So, vampire problems then. "I'll see you later"
"Bye" Caroline and Lexa said at the same time. Matt walked up to them.
"Hey" he told them both with a smile.
"Hey" Caroline told him.
"Hey Matty" Lexa said with a smirk.
The two girls walk off separately to Matt. Lexa and Caroline strut away arm-in-arm smiling broadly. They chat to people along the way, mainly the other cheerleaders before they head into History class. Bonnie is sat down, pale and drawn. Lexa looks worried at her. There's another presence she can feel around her, which is not good. It seems that Bonnie's ancestor is trying to make an appearance. Lexa sat in her usual seat near the window but kept an eye on Bonnie. There's a new teacher at the board. Since Tanner, they'd had a few substitutes.
"Good morning, everyone. Alrighty" he says whilst writing his name on the board. Elena mouths something at Bonnie who shrugs. The teacher turns around. He smiles at them all. "Alaric Saltzman. It's a mouthful, I know. Doesn't exactly roll off the tongue. Saltzman is of German origins. My family emigrated here in 1755 to Texas. I, however, was born and raised in Boston. Now the name Alaric belongs to a very dead great-grandfather I will never be able to thank enough. You'll probably want to pronounce 'A-la-ric' but it's 'A-lar-ic' okay? So, you can call me Ric. I'm your new history teacher"
Lexa grinned. She had a good feeling about this teacher. Coach Tanner was a douchebag. He also knew hardly anything knew anything about history. This new guy seemed competent.

Lexa was waiting on Jeremy when she saw Elena and Bonnie. They were deep in discussion.
"And then, I ended up at the remains of the old Fell's Church before I woke back up in the woods" Bonnie was saying, trying to describe a dream she'd had the night before.
"And you always see your ancestor, Emily?" Elena asked.
That was interesting. If Emily was haunting her dreams, then she wanted something from Bonnie.
"Mhm. Do you believe in ghosts?" Bonnie asked.
"Two weeks ago, I'd say no. But now..."
"Because I think I'm being haunted"
"I don't get it. Why Emily?"
"Grams said she was she was a powerful witch back in the Civil War days, and this medallion was hers. A witch's talisman"
