(A/N: I have the next 5 chapters planned out :D also I'm not the best at two-bit first person so I apologize lol)

— The broad I was meeting up with is Marcia. After the whole drive in, I threw away her number but Cherry gave it to me again and says she really likes me and she's not foolin around. Apparently her and Randy broke up. I didn't know why, but I knew not to dig my nose into something like that. I always was nosey but my gut just said not to. She came to the greaser side of town as if I went to the soc side of town, I would get jumped so fast it'd make my head spin.

I knew she liked roller skating so we are going to do that. I was back at the house for a few minutes before I heard a knock at the door. I started walking to the door but I realized my mom was already answering the door. "Keith Matthews! You have a date and you didn't tell me?!" My mom said dramatically. "Ma!" She laughs. "Ok I'll leave you two be. Have fun! But not to much!" "Ma!"

She giggles and we head out. We get into my car; I was about to start it when—

Of course the one day I need a push start.

"Can you drive for a second? I need a push start." She nodded, she didn't look at me weird like other socs would. "Of course." She moves to the drivers seat after I get out. I go to the back and push it, after it starts moving, I run back to the divers seat, she moves over and I quickly take place as driver.

We started driving to the roller rink, once we did get there, we rented skates. I put mine on and when I finished, I looked at Marcia. She was about to start tying the laces. I quickly stop her and tie them for her. She giggles and blushes but lets me. I finish tying them and we go to the rink, we step on and I almost immediately fall.

She giggles and helps me up. I smile at her and she smiles back. She holds my hands, causing me to blush. She starts skating backwards, helping me along. "Move Matthews! I can't do all the work!" She laughs. I laugh as well and start pushing. "Not fast! Like you are petting an animal." She says over the music. I start to push slower; she had a bright smile. Her brown eyes and her brown hair in a bob cut, god she's perfect.

"You alright, two? You're startin at me." The soc says. I quickly nod and look away. She chuckles and we continue skating.

"We barely got to know each other in the drive in because that Johnny kid was there and I didn't want him to third wheel. Tell me about yourself." I chuckle. "Well— I love Mickey Mouse, beer, my family, the gang, school—" Marcia chuckles. "School? I didn't expect any greaser except that pony kid to like school. Why do ya like school?" Her tone stayed sweet and she didn't mean that in any rude way and I could tell.

"Eh," —I chuckle— "mostly for kicks." She nods in understanding. "Well— I'll tell you something two-bit. Even though you have failed high school three times, I think you're still an alright man." I smile at her.

"Me and Cherry already know we are going to college. We are both trying for Harvard." She says; I nod, even though I don't think I'll ever make it to college— let alone Harvard.

Unchained melody by The Righteous Brothers started playing. Next thing I knew, we were dancing and skating, it was hard but I started getting the hang of it.

Woah, my love, my darling
I've hungered for your touch
A long, lonely time
And time goes by so slowly
And time can do so much
Are you still mine?
I need your love
I need your love
God speed your love to me

I looked into her eyes before we continued dancing.

Lonely rivers flow
To the sea, to the sea
To the open arms of the sea, yeah
Lonely rivers sigh
"Wait for me, wait for me"
I'll be coming home, wait for me

I almost trip but I catch myself, we both laugh and giggle.

Woah, my love, my darling
I've hungered, hungered for your touch
A long, lonely time
And time goes by so slowly
And time can do so much
Are you still mine?
I need your love
I need your love
God speed your love to me

When the song ends, we make eye contact. We start getting closer and closer. Our lips touch and we start kissing. Mango and strawberries. Once we pull apart, we smile and kiss again.

We both knew socs and greasers aren't supposed to date. But neither of us cared. We just cared about each other. I learned that the people I love come first. Romantically or platonically— it doesn't matter. If I care, they come first; not my enemies. The only enemies I have were people mean to me first. And the people who were mean to me can wait until I take care of the people who love me and the people who I love.

"Will you be mine?" I ask when we pull apart. She replies with a nod and another kiss, which, I return; wrapping my arms around her.
