Chapter 24

God, If You Are Above (Ryan's Point)

I sighed as I had rested my head upon the soft cushion of my friends couch. Ron sat within the chair across the couch.

"I hope he'll be alright man.." I spoke softly in a  upset tone as well.

"I'm sure he will." Ron said reassuringly, smiling a little. I faintly nodded and looked around at my surroundings. There was a knock upon the front door all of the sudden. I sat up hesitantly and turned to look at the door whilist Ron quickly answered it then shut the door.

"That was about-?" I questioned, watching him walk back to his seat, sit down, then shrug.

"Nobody was there, man." He responded, then out of the blue, another knock was heard, from within the house this time. I shot up and off the couch and looked down at Ron whom had the look of a deer in the headlights.

Ron hesitantly got up and started to walk around, me following close behind him. We reached the end of the hall and heard nothing at all. He turned and looked up at me, I just shrugged then turned to walk back to the couch. When we reached the center of the hallway, the knock was loud and clear as it sounded like a fist was banging against the door next to us. Ron and I both jumped, I fell and scrambled to get up, slipping a few times before being able to stand.

"Dude, what the fuck is wrong with your home?!" I squawked at Ron, he shrugged very hesitantly then the knock had happened again. He and I ran out the house after that, not daring to find out what was knocking. "God, if you are above, make it stop-" I mumbled, running my hand through my hair.

"I guess we could just hang out here for now-" Ron said with false laughter, I turned and glared at him, in a friendly way sort of.

The hours passed and I was exhausted, Dyla was with Jacky's mom, and I was half way home. I stopped within my tracks and turned, then started walking to the hospital. I needed to see Jack, I needed to know he is okay or at the least getting better. After about another 35 minutes or so, I was finally there. I looked up from my feet then a small sigh escaped from my lips, hoping for the best on the inside. Walking inside, I asked if I could visit him, they allowed me to and now, I waited outside the room until further notice.

"God, I truly hope he is really okay.." I looked up for some odd reason before looking back down with a sigh as the hours passed without anyone fully allowing me inside.
