It reached a point where Selene became fully aware of her surroundings.

The Akhlut kept running to the point where she had all the time in the world to recover. The fear had begun to subside, replaced with... boredom.

Selene resorted to pounding her fists on the Akhlut's back. She demanded it let her go or bring her back.

He was being a real asshole right now.

"Let me go!" She yelled, continuing to hit its back with closed fists. It didn't flinch once- obviously unbothered.

The Akhlut wasn't running anymore, instead walking. The creature's legs were so long that it might as well be jogging from how far apart its steps were.

Selene was having enough of it. "I'm cold..." She muttered, lazily draping over the creature's shoulder.

Out of everything- that was what made it stop.

Leaning down, it wiped the snow off a large log and planted her on it. The Akhlut adjusted her until it decided she was comfortable.

"Ah vulgtmnah..." It whispered through sharp-toothed maws, "Ahna epgoka, ahlloigehye."

Of course- Selene was still entirely unable to understand this language. It was unlike any language she'd heard- some words pronounced in clicks or grunts.

Her hands flew up, palming either side of it's head and yanking its head to her height.

Selene wasn't afraid to admit that the orca-like head was scary. It was large and strangely dark compared to the white landscape of Canada.

"You're Ullr, aren't you?" She'd ask. The creature stayed still, narrowed black eyes staring into her skull quietly. "If you are... then..." The woman narrowed her eyes- absentmindedly looking at the rows of teeth.
Her grip tightened, "If you're Ullr... that means I'm Selene." She'd say, "And... that you're my husband." Her head pounded- swelling painfully as more and more revelations ran toward her like a wrecking ball.

The 11-foot, skinny creature began to pant. She watched his chest rise and fall quickly.

Even though it was hard to see his pupils- she felt its gaze burning holes into her head.

Selene suddenly lost her grasp on his head.

His form shrank into himself- warping and shifting as if a black hole was sucking it in. Within a few seconds, a new figure stood in his place.

While much shorter, He still towered over the short and plump woman.

A distinctly naked man.

"O-Oh my god!" She stuttered, hands flying down to cover her eyes.

His baritone, rumbling chuckle floated into her ears like a drug that spread through the air. It was him- it was the cloaked man.

Her husband has been with her this entire time.
