Bey pov
A week later
"We should get our belly pierced today." I told Nicki as she shrugged. "I mean we can but who's gonna watch the kids?" She said. "Kelly can watch them. She ain't doing nothing else." I said as she nodded. "Okay well ima go get ready." She said as I nodded.
I called Kelly. "Yes bey?" She asked as I chucked. "How you know I want something?" I asked. "Bc Nicki just texted me & asked me to watch the kids while y'all go get pierced." She said in a duh tone. "Oh." I said laughing. "I'll be over there in a few. I'm on the road now. I'm gonna stop by McDonald's & get Blue something." She said. "Okay thank you so much Kelly." I said. "Mhm whatever. I'll see you hoes soon." She said hanging up as I laughed.
After we were done getting ready Nicki was giving Kelly instructions on what to do. "Don't forget to feed him every 2 hours or he'll get fussy. Don't let Blue have more than 2 cookies & don't let her watch tv the whole time we're gone." She said getting cut off. "Nicki go. I know what I'm doing. I have a child of my own." She said laughing as Nicki still went on & on with her instructions. "Sorry." She said as we giggled.
We left & Nicki was quiet the whole car ride. "What's wrong?" She asked. "Carol has been on my mind heavy lately & I don't know why." She said as I sighed. "What do you mean?" I asked. "I don't know. I mean like sometimes I be wanting to talk to her but then I just remember what she did & I just can't forgive her for it. But I have a feeling that something bad is about to happen." She said. "Look baby don't worry okay. Just give it some more time & if you really wanna talk to her then do it." I said as she nodded & looked out her window.
We was almost at the tattoo shop but I got stopped by a red light. Soon as it turnt green, I pressed the gas. Before I could get in the road good, a car came fast on Nicki side & ran into us.
I looked over at Nicki & saw she was unconscious & had blood trickling from the side of her head. I quickly called the ambulance & waited on them.
I checked myself to make sure I was okay & everything looked fine. But Nicki on the other hand, was in need of serious help.
The ambulance came & I got on with her as they drove us to the hospital. I called momma, solange, & Kelly. They all came as I sat in the waiting room, waiting for more information from the doctor.
"Omg Bey we made it as soon as we could. Are you okay? Where Nicki?" They said all asking the same questions. "Y'all I'm okay. It's Nicki. She's in the back & they won't let anyone back until further notice. For all I know she could be in some serious pain." I said. "No bey it's gonna be okay. Think positive." My momma said as I just sat in a corner to myself.
"Family of Onika Knowles?" The doctor said coming out the office. "Is everything okay?" I asked jumping up. "Well she hit her head pretty hard so she's suffering from a little concussion. She also is suffering from whiplash so she won't be able to move her neck around that much. The force of her hitting her head was pretty bad so she might not remember a lot. Our visiting hours are over in a hour so if you'd like to go back to visit then you're more than welcome to do so. You are also welcome to stay over with her." The doctor said as i broke down crying.
"Bey you can go see her. We'll be back in the morning. I'll take care of the children just don't stress yourself out too much. Please call us if anything else happens." Kelly said as I just nodded. "What's her room number?" I asked lowly. "414." He said as I got on the elevator. Once I got to her room I saw her hooked up to a lot of machines.
I took a glance at her & she looked like she was sleep. I noticed a heart monitor next to her & it broke my heart. This is all my fault. I sat in a chair next to her & started crying. "I'm so sorry baby. I know I should've been looking. It's all my fault. Im the one to blame. & don't worry baby im gonna find out who did this. I love you so much. Please wake up." I said laying my head on her, crying & listening to the heart monitor.
Whoever hit us was purposely aiming at Nicki side. It was a hit and run bc once they hit her side they backed up & took off without leaving a trace.
I was about to dose off until I felt a cold hand run through my hair. "Beyoncé?" She asked as I looked up. "Baby you're awake. Omg I was so scared. I'm so sorry I let this happen to you." I said as she looked at me confused. "What are you talking about? Why am I in the hospital?" She asked as I froze. "You don't remember do you?" I asked as she shook her head. "No." She whispered. "Okay um do you remember the children?" I asked as she thought for a second & shook her head again. "No sorry." She said as I sighed. "What about Solange, Momma Tina, & Kelly? You remember them?" I asked. "Mhm I know Solange & Momma Tina but I don't remember a Kelly." She said. I was kinda frustrated but I didn't let her know that.
It's been hours & I've been tryna help Nicki get her memory back. "So you're telling me that we're married with 2 kids?" She said skeptically. "Yes Onika. How many times I gotta tell you." I said chucking a little. "Wait a minute. How do we have kids when I'm a woman & you are too? Unless we have a dick. Do I have a dick? Hold on get out so I can check." She said as I giggled bc she was so serious. "Oh you serious?" I asked as she nodded. "Okay well first of all we don't have a dick. We went to the doctor & turnt my eggs into sperm which they injected into you & now we have a 4 month old son named Kaizen." I said as she nodded. "Okay I know that part but what about the little girl ? Did I get injected again?" She said as I shook my head & sighed.
"No Nicki. Blue is actually only my daughter but since we're married then technically she's yours too. Her father & I had an intercourse once in a studio while I was dating you & somehow we broke up & I found out I was pregnant with her & here we are now. She's 5 by the way." I said as she nodded tryna follow up with me. "So basically I'm married to a cheater? I don't wanna be with a cheater. You're not my wife get out." She said as I sighed.
"Nicki just listen. This was years ago. Wait a minute... If you don't remember our wedding or anything, then how do you know we was together? Something ain't adding up." I said raising my eyebrows. "Uh bc i um. Okay fine I lied. I told the doctors to tell you that to see how long it would take for you to catch on. I also wanted to get your reaction." She said as I looked at her with a 'really bitch' face.
"Wow." Was all I could say. She thought it was hilarious. "Baby I'm sorry. I didn't know it was gonna take this long for you to catch on. If I did lose my memory then you'd be the first person to help me remember. You were great at reminding me of things." She said tryna kiss me as I moved my head & she giggled. "Leave me alone." I said in a baby voice. "Babyyyy don't be mad at bc your a lil slow. Stop being mad & give me kisses." She said as I smiled & rolled my eyes as I gave her kisses.
"So did you cry?" She asked. "Nope." I lied. "Stop lying. The doctor came in here & told me you was sitting in a corner to yourself crying like a baby." She said as I laughed. "I mean yeah you know I was crying. I just felt like it was my fault. I should've been looking harder. I'm sorry I put you in this position. But I'm gonna find out who did this." I said. "What do you mean? It's not your fault baby you had the right away. The light was green don't blame yourself bc other people wanna drive reckless. & I heard it was a hid & run." She said as I nodded.
After the doctors checked her, she started complaining about her neck hurting so they gave her some pain medicine. "Okay this will make you sleepy so if you're not going to stay the night then ima have to ask you to say your goodbyes to each other." The doctor said as I rolled my eyes. He clearly see my overnight bag in the corner. "I'm staying here." I said as he nodded. "Okay well I'll be back within 2 hours to check in on you Miss Onika." He said as she nodded.
"You sleepy?" I asked as she nodded. "Very." She said. I kissed her lips over & over before pulling away. "Go to sleep baby. Goodnight I love you." I said. "Goodnight I love you more." She said. Once we dosed off I grabbed my night clothes & went to her bathroom. Before I closed the door I heard her. "Where you going?" She said. "I'm not going anywhere bae. I'm just going to take a shower." I said as she nodded & went back to sleep.
After I was done I ate some of my snacks that Kelly brung in my overnight bag. I watched a show on my phone until I got sleepy & went to sleep. Hopefully Nicki gets discharged soon. I hate hospitals.
