"No, Charlie. You cannot commit gynaecide."

He looked up at me with his so-called 'puppy dog eyes' and pouted. "But all the girls in my class are mean! So are my Mom and teachers. You're mean to me as well! Actually,  you're the meanest of them all."

"Yes, well, I'm your girlfriend. So suck it up and help me organise my pens, please. "

He groaned but settled back down in his chair, crossing his arms. "I don't understand why you won't let me. You killed your neighbour last week!"

I lifted my pen and pointed it towards his face. "He deserved it. I told him to lock up that dog of his but he denied. I told him there'd be consequences. Look where that got him, aye?" I settled my pen back down in it's proper box.

Rolling his eyes, Charlie complained, "Victoria, please! One of them threw their lunch at me yesterday."

I slammed my hands on the table and turned towards him. "What!? Why didn't you say anything?" I yelled.

"I've been trying to tell you for the past three hours! All you're focusing on is cleaning everything in your room, it's not my fault!"

I rolled my eyes, stood up and pulled him with me. "Follow me, we're going to this bitch's house right now."

Half an hour later and I'm knocking on this ugly green door, with Charlie waiting in the car. A few seconds later, some blonde girl wearing shorts shorter than her underwear comes out. "Can I help you?" She asks, looking at me up and down.

Oh, she's that type of girl. Okay. I can deal with that.

I crossed my arms and stared down at her. "Well, first of all. Do you know anyone named Charlie?"

She looks confused for a second before saying, "Oh my God, are you his Mom? This is so embarrassing. Look, I don't know about that kid, but he's got some real issues. Seriously. You need to get him checked out, because if I were him, I'd honestly cry. The kid's a freak!"

The girl doesn't even get a chance to blink before I punch her right across her left cheek. "That's for calling Charlie a freak."

Another punch, this time on her right cheek. "That's for saying Charlie has some real issues." This time, I grab her by the hair and pull her closer. "And this is for thinking I'd ever let someone get me pregnant." I slap her across the face and shove her into her house. She falls on her butt with a thud as I make my way back into the car.

As I close my side of the door, Charlie asks, "So, what happened there?"

I give him a reassuring smile before starting the car and getting the hell out of there. "She just invited me in for some coffee."

A few minutes go by and it becomes  too silent for the two of us. "So, Charlie. Does anyone else bother you?"

"Are you going to kill them all? Because if you were going to do that, there wouldn't be any students left in the school."

I sighed and parked the car somewhere, turning to face him. Charlie has always been on my side and never judges anything I do, which is why I stay with him. It's because I know I can trust him, and I want him to trust me.

"Babe, look. I know that I'm not the perfect girlfriend you imagined you'd have when you were a little boy. You can't change me, this is who I am. But I want you to be able to talk to me more about these things, okay?" I looked up into his crystal, brown eyes. He's so perfect-looking, I don't know why he gets bullied. "I may not be perfect, but I'd do anything to protect you from harm. You know that, right?"

He just nods, looking right back at me.

I give him a reassuring look before my eyes go back to the road and my hands go back to the wheel.
