I looked at Archer from the corner of my office. He practically took my phone and ripped it from my desk. I backed away the moment that question was asked. Archer wasn't saying a word. I'd try to calm my quick breathing. He'd slam the phone on the desk, causing me to flinch. "What the hell did you tell her!?" He'd scream. I'd look at him in fear. "N-No- I didn't-" He'd slam his palms on the table. "What did you say!?" I'd look at the floor so I didn't have to meet his angry eyes. "Look at me when I'm talking to you, boy..." I'd shake my head. "Archer, please...I didn't tell her anything..." He'd slam his hand on the desk again. "Bullshit!" The door would open behind Archer. "What's all the yelling about..?" Ms. Angela would ask. "Stay the fuck out of this, whale." She'd shake her head, walking over and standing next to me. "Archer, this is my business now." She'd set her hand on my back, rubbing it. "What's going on?" He'd let out a chuckle, "I'll tell you what's fucking wrong..." He'd point at me, "That fucker told Jay that I killed someone." I'd shake my head, "No no! That isn't what happened-" He'd slam his hand on the desk again, pushing me further into my corner. "Bullshit!" Ms. Angela would shake her head, "Archer...Let's calm down and let Milo explain, yeah?" He'd groan, sitting down in the chair across from my desk.  "Fine, Whale." She'd rub my back, " Deep breaths, Archer..." She'd look at me. "What happened, Milo?" I'd frown.  "She called me randomly...When I was calculating our spending...She asked about Samantha Faith...I told her that was your ex, and she cheated on you...I never said you killed her...and the man she was with...She was the one who asked me if you killed her." He'd groan, "Great! I already had Detective Hale on my ass. Now I have Detective fuck-me-in-the-ass on my case." I'd blink. "She did what to your behind?" He'd groan, shaking his head. "Not literally." Ms. Angela would sigh, "Archer, you do realize that this is your fault." He'd stand up now, "How the hell is this my fault!?" She'd sigh, "You left the wallet behind, didn't you?" He stopped in his tracks. He looked dumbfounded. "Now I have to go to that fucking bar with her."  He'd shake his head, changing the subject. I'd nod, "And Jammie is going to be there." He'd groan, "Fucking kill me now..." Ms. Angela would sigh, "If she brings it up, change the subject...We can't have that kind of information being spread about you..." He'd nod. "It wasn't my fault they owed money to the boss..." I'd narrow my eyes, "Was it necessary for  you to sleep with them though?" He'd look over, "It's called gaining a person's trust. Once you have sex with someone for the first time it's considered," He'd do air quotes, " 'Special.' And you're support to stay with that person." I'd blink, "I've never heard that." Ms. Angela would nod, "Neither have I." He'd nod "That's because you," he'd point to me. "Had a toxic relationship with your wife that led to your near death. Actually, I wouldn't even consider your thing a relationship... And you," He'd point to Ms. Angela. "Are a virgin." "It isn't necessary to bring up either of those factors..." She'd say embarrassed. I'd clear my throat. "Didn't you do things with Jay? I could have sworn you said something about that..." He'd look over, his eyes narrow. "I may have. I can't remember." Ms. Angela would take her hand on my back, tidying where Archer messed up my desk. "How can you not remember what happened yesterday?" He'd sigh, "I was drunk, remember?" "But wouldn't you-" Archer would shake his head, "No more questions...about that at least." He'd clear his throat. "Why does Jammie even want me there? For a triggerman he sure is cocky..." Ms. Angela would nod, "He sure is..." I'd sigh, "I had his exact words written down, but I lost in when a gorilla slammed on my desk a few times." I'd scoot back to my desk, looking for the paper. "I doubt I'll be able to find it again, but it mentioned how you were a good capo and he wanted to talk...And tell his capo about you. Since you're so anti-social the other capos barely know anything about you." He'd roll his eyes, "That's kind of how I want it to stay...Besides, does he even remember what he did to me?" I'd shake my head, "He probably doesn't." He'd nod, "He probably doesn't...Otherwise, he wouldn't even be asking for me." Ms. Angela would sigh, "What's so bad about this man?" I'd sigh, "If I remember right he rejected Archer when they were in high school." Archer would cross his arms. "He continuously paid people to make my life a living hell." Ms. Angela would sigh, "I believe that you should make up with him...It was so long ago and it's just pointless for you to hold onto it now...Besides I forgave you for what you did to me, and we're okay now." Archer would nod, "You forgave me like the idiot you are." I'd tilt my head, "What did he do to you?" Ms. Angela avoided that question. "Look, Archer. Just talk to him tonight, okay? He might let us gain more funding and get us on the boss' good side, yeah?" He'd sigh. "Fine fine...I'll talk to the damn man...But if Detective fuck-me-in-the-ass wants to be difficult I might just get rid of her right then and there." I'd look at him, "Would it be best to cause a scene like that? Besides they're literally providing housing for you as you try to pay off your debt...You do know criminals have to pay taxes too?" He'd groan, "I'll pay them off eventually, alright?" He'd shake his head getting up. "I'm sure you will, Archer." I'd say plainly. He'd exit the room, leaving it as messy as he made it. "You shouldn't be so harsh with him about his money..." Ms. Angela would sigh. I'd chuckle, "He's like, forty-three, correct? He should be able to pay his stuff off by now."  She'd sigh, "Yeah...I suppose so, Milo." "And, shouldn't Archer be with someone near his age? I don't really like the eighteen-year age gap." She'd chuckle, "Trust me...It could be worse."
