Archer
I'd walk out of the building, swinging the keys around my finger. This damn tacky dress shirt was getting hot...At least the car had AC. Milo let me borrow one of the company cars since mine is currently...Out of commission. And will be for a long while...You could say trying to drive away from Detective Hale isn't the easiest thing to do. Especially after it rains...I opened the car getting inside. The car was so cramped, I felt like I could drive with my knees. I'd push the chair as far as it could go, allowing me to have legroom. Much better. I'd start the car, feeling the cool air hit me. I would have liked it a little more if I hadn't left my coat at Jay's house. Speaking of Jay's house...I'd begin to drive towards the house. It wasn't too far if I took the highway. I'd merge on, going a bit over but hey, everybody does. I'd merge back off the highway almost as soon as I got on. The moment I was at that stop sign I'd make a sharp turn down the road. I saw a tree that was knocked over on my right. Someone had run into it with their car. "Bastards left my bumper there..." I'd hiss under my breath. I'd pull up to Jay's house, honking on the horn. She came out shortly. I would unlock the door, watching them get into the passenger seat. It was a two-seater car. I made sure of that. I'd admire their outfit choice. "Can we go?" I'd hear them ask. I'd chuckle, "Someone's feisty...You look nice, you know?" She'd nod. "Lacey wanted me to look nice..." I'd nod, "Me and Lacey must have the same taste..." She'd roll her eyes and cross her arms. I'd chuckle, beginning to get out of the driveway and go to the bar. "Not happy with what happened yesterday? I promise I'll be better tonight-" She'd cover my mouth again. "Shhhh." She'd say embarrassed. I'd chuckle, "Is this how I need to get you to talk to me?" She'd remove her hands from my mouth. "Look...Archer I- For the love of god keep your eyes on the road!" I'd look back at the road, noticing I was supposed to turn. I'd make a sharp turn, watching them lean towards me. "Who let you get a license..." She'd mutter. "Good ol' state of Texas." I'd chuckle. She'd sigh. "Archer...If you living with me is going to be a thing, we need to set some rules." I'd let out a chuckle, turning to get onto the highway. "You're going to set rules after I made you scream for me?" She'd squirm in her seat. "I didn't do anything of the sort!" She'd sit down, crossing her legs. "Number one, you can't talk like that to me." I'd chuckle, "You don't like getting all warm for me?" She'd stare at me. "I'll kill you..." I'd chuckle, "Alright alright...What's your next dumb rule for me?" She'd sigh. "Don't keep-" I'd jerk the car as someone tried to practically ram into me. "Drive better!" She'd yell. "I'm already ten over the speed limit and that fucker wants to do twenty over!" "Not you! Him! They're going to get themself killed!" I'd groan, "We can only hope so." She'd sigh, trying to relax. "Look...If what I found today was true...You're a murderer." I'd tighten my grip on the wheel, letting out a soft chuckle, "Remind me to get off exit F32, alright?" She'd stare at me, "You expect me to remember that?" I'd shrug, "It's important for you to remember." She'd sigh, looking out the window. "Didn't think I would let you off free? You can't just sit there without doing nothing." She'd look back at me, "Look...Just do me a favor and don't kill me...or my friends and family...Alright? I don't care about anyone else you kill." I'd chuckle. "That's two things." They'd roll their eyes, "For the love of god, Archer..." I'd look at the next turn to get off the highway. F32 I'd turn my turn signal on and move towards the exit. "Oh yeah, you're supposed to take that exit." They'd say. I'd look over, "If I didn't remember that you would have made us miss our turn." She'd shrug with a snicker, "Maybe I want you to." I'd chuckle. "I'm sure you do." I'd stop in front of the stop sign, looking right and left for any cars. "You do realize that the stop sign is way back there, right?" I'd shrug, "I don't see you driving. I'd turn right, making a quick right through some trees. I'd see Jay reach for the car door. "You aren't going to kill me...are you?" I'd shake my head. "No...I would have done that yesterday if I wanted to. I probably should but." I'd shrug. I'd pull up to an abandoned-looking building. "I think you're going to kill me..." She'd say again. I'd let out a deep chuckle. "C'mon...I don't entirely mooch off of other people's ideas." I'd kill the engine, take the keys out, and get out of the car. I'd wait for Jay to get out, walking to the building and going down the stairs to the cellar. "I think you're going to kill me." I'd laugh, "C'mon. I'm not going to kill you." I'd knock on the door five times, the door opening so I could see the security guard. "Good Evenin', Reed. Who's the little lady?" I'd chuckle, wrapping my arm around her. "She's mine so, let's back off, Tony." He'd cross his arms, "Nah nah...I don't know who she is. She could be a cop." I'd take his hand in mine, "I would never do anything of the sort." I'd smile. He'd move his hand away looking at it, he'd nod, moving away from the door now. I'd smile, bringing Jay into the bar. "What'd you give him..?" I'd chuckle, "Just a little baggy he's been wanting." It wasn't a very fancy star one. But it was one where I could lay low and relax. I'd bring Jay and myself to the counter, where Milo was polishing glasses. "What can I get you two?" He'd ask with a smile. "Something fruity." I heard Jay answer as I searched the bar with my eyes. Where is that bastard...
