The Lady Thorn Rose sat at the grand dining table with Tao at the other end of the table silently eating and picking at his food. He was still unsure as to why he was here in the first place. He went to say something when Messenger approached Lady Thorn Rose, he quickly looked back down at his plate. Messenger's ominous aura and the fact they were the ones to bring him here, were enough reasons for him to remain quiet in their presence.

"My Lady," Messenger leaned down to whisper in her ear, "I have some information about Sun Wukong."

"Little One," Lady Thorn Rose turned to Tao, "you may be dismissed."

Tao slowly got out of his chair and made his way toward his quarters.

"What is it?" Lady Thorn Rose dabbed her mouth with a napkin.

"It appears Sun Wukong had made a recent visit to the Jade Tower Prison," Messenger spoke.

"So?" Lady Thorn Rose scoffed. "As long as he stays out of my way, I couldn't care less about what that fool does."

"You misunderstand My Lady," Messenger continued, "You can't enter the tower without someone of high authority's approval in the Celestial Realm, and we're both familiar with the tales of Sun Wukong, with all the havoc he's caused over the years he would most definitely need that approval."

"Where are you going with this exactly?" Lady Thorn Rose was growing impatient.

"Sun Wukong in traveling with The General of the Celestial Army, Six-Eared Macaque," Messenger had a devious smirk on their face.

"The Six-Eared Macaque? The demon who married into a celestial family?" Lady Thorn Rose reached for her cup of tea. "What's so important about him?"

"Not him, his child, a daughter to be precise." Messenger's smile became wicked. "The daughter is close friends with the child; I imagine that being reunited with his friend again would lower his guard and lead him to a false sense of security, that is when we strike. Plus, the unknown power of a Celestial-Demon hybrid could be useful, would you not agree?"

Lady Thorn Rose's lips curved into a sinister smile as she let out a low chuckle. "Send out some Thorns, and have the servants prepare a room. We'll have a new guest staying with us for a while."

The two chuckled amongst themselves, unaware Tao had been listening. He slowly stepped away from the door before quickly running away. He had to get out of here.

Macaque was meditating, like he did every morning, on the deck. It was quiet, as the sun began to rise and everybody was still asleep, or so he thought. He opened his eyes for a brief moment to see a Ragdoll Macaque placed in front of him in the sitting position, Daiyu was awake.

Daiyu was in the kitchen, trying in best to make tea. As she began to slowly pour the tea into the cups, the floated out of her hand and began to pour itself with the help of Macaque's powers.

"What are you doing up Moonstone?" Macaque ruffled his daughter's hair.

"I wanted to have tea with you." Daiyu handed her father a cup.

Macaque smiled as he took the cup, before nuzzling her. "How did I get so lucky to have a daughter like you?"

Daiyu wrapped her arms around Macaque's neck, hugging him tight as she nuzzled him back. Daiyu was Macaque's world, everything he and Chyou were doing was for her. Macaque will never forget the day she was born, when he held his sleeping daughter for the first time, that was when he swore, he would do everything to protect the two most precious people in his life.

When the morning sun was higher in the sky, the drone copter landed in the forest, to give everyone a chance to stretch, and set up camp. Daiyu managed to slip away from the campsite to take a walk. It was a quiet walk, Daiyu wasn't going anywhere in particular, she was letting her feet carry her. She found a fallen tree trunk by a creek where she sat, placing down the backpack she brought along with her and pulled out a book, unaware something in the trees was watching her with glowing red eyes.

Macaque was gathering firewood when he noticed that Daiyu had disappeared from the campsite.

"Gem," Macaque turned to Chyou, who was setting up a tent, "have you seen Daiyu."

"I haven't actually." She turned to her husband, "she must have gone for a walk."

"Without telling us?" Macaque placed down the firewood. "That's not like her at all."

A sudden roar followed by the ground shaking stop made everyone stop what they were doing for a few moments.

"What was that?" MK asked.

"Something we need to stay far away from." Red Son said while looking at the map. "Macaque can you-"

Red Son looked up to see that Macaque had disappeared, only leaving the pile of firewood he had placed down moments ago.

Daiyu was running through the woods in a fear, she looked over her shoulder to see the giant thorn demon chasing after her, knocking the large trees out of its way as he went after her. Daiyu made a sharp turn, hoping to make an escape. Her running quickly came to a halt, when she found herself in front of the bottom of a cliff, it was a dead end.

Her body froze up she heard the demon stomping behind her, she was shaking as she back against the cliff way. Daiyu wanted to run away, but her feet wouldn't not move, she was frozen in fear, all she could do was cover her head.

"Daddy," her voice was meek, "help."

The demon reached out to grab her when everything turned dark, several pairs of glowing purple eyes surrounded them, and a shadow formed behind Daiyu, revealing a pair of eyes that had a scar, and an angry expression. "Not smart bud."

Back at the campsite everyone had finished setting up and were now enjoying the peaceful evening.

"I wonder what Macaque is doing?" MK casually brought up.

Macaque's Smoke Monster erupted from the trees on the distance, turning the sky purple as the ground began to shake, sending everyone into a wide-eyed panic as the monster raised its fists before repeatedly slamming the ground. As quickly as it had appeared, it disappeared, and soon after Macaque walked out of the forest holding Daiyu's hand.

"WHAT HAPPENED!?" Tang exclaimed in a panic.

"Nothing," Macaque spoke casually, "just scared of some animals that were getting a little too close."

It was the middle of the night and Tao was sneaking through the halls. He was trying his best to be quiet, in an attempt to not get caught by Lady Thorn Rose or Messenger. He didn't like that he was here with a strange woman, especially one he didn't know anything about, but after hearing the plans to capture Daiyu and bring her here was enough motivation for him to escape that night.

He looked over a corner to see the hallway that led to the only exit and entrance into the place. He was so close, he tried to run for it, but something took hold of his collar and pulled him back. Tao looked up with a terrified expression to see Messenger had a hold of him.

"The Lady will not be pleased." Their voice was cold.
